I can understand demands for a nerf if a weapon is horribly imbalanced in PvP and it dominates the game. But why would anyone complain that a weapon is useful in T4 missions and demand it be nerfed ? Is it jealousy ? Spite ? Stupidity ? Could someone who has ever demanded a nerf explain their motivation for it. Havent you ever thought ' Okay, I dont use this weapon at the moment as I am not doing high level missions. But I will be doing high level missions once I am no longer a noob, and then I may want to have a decent weapon to use on high level missions'. Do you not think of this ? Rexian Posted April 20, 2015 Share Posted April 20, 2015 It's just the fact that some weapons turn into go to weapons if anything is needed. Boltor Prime is a example. Some people don't go that path but a lot do. And instead of asking for bringing all the lesser weapons up (who some of them are quite bad) it's easier to just say "Nerf the thing that kills". That's my experiance put out simple. I mean I don't want a weapon that oneshots everything and have a fireate like a gattling gun and magazine that's god mode. But "balancing" weapons could be changed by removing enemy scaling and make it like Killing Floor 2 is going to do. Higher difficulty doesn't mean bullet sponges, which I quite like. Pre-nerf Synoid Gammacor being one of the biggest offenders, as it trivialized just about everything on top of having godlike ammo efficiency and pinpoint accuracy. it may be a hard pill to swallow, but some things do need to be nerfed on occasion. Gotcha. What they really seem to be saying is " some people are better with this weapon than I am with mine. They got more kills than me. My ego is bruised. I cannot handle not coming first. DE made a good gun. People used it. Some people didnt have one though. So they complained. So those who had a good gun had their good gun taken from them. Some weapons and frames actually require skill to use (Penta airbursts, Chroma needing to get into the thick of the fight to get the most damage and tanking ability). Then there's the old Synoid Laser Pointer that just murdered anything you pointed at with little ammo cost. Current Rakta isn't even as bad as the Synoid was. Was the devastation caused by the synoid pre-nerf causing a reproductive crisis amongst the grinner and corpus and infested, so that they could have gone extinct and the game have to be scrapped ?
