He was tried under the law but he was acquitted in 2012. Apparently he was trying to test the boundries of the law by making stuff as obscene as he could get, too.

There are far more obscenity laws in the States, the stricter of which are usually geared more toward performances than media. >_>

If you actually do some research on this (and not use Cracked as a source of credible information), you'd see the stuff that Remy Coutre made is insanely disturbing.

Search up Inner-Depravity and you'll understand the circumstances behind this.

Horror is not illegal in Canada, if this guy posted this stuff in states he'd get arrested for it as well. This was all due to misunderstanding between what was real and what wasn't.

SEVERAL HORROR FILMS HAVE BEEN FILMED AND MADE IN CANADA SINCE 2009.

Example:

The production company for this film was in fact a Canadian production company.

LIONSGATE.

Evangeline

This one was shown in the 2014 Vancouver Film Festival.

Mama

The production of this film took place In Canada.

In Warframe there are infested and blood, now i fear for this law actually.

WF has been out for 3 years now.

It is also the most tame game I have ever seen.

Mortal Kombat X is in Canada.

Pretty much wrong, as the two posts above and my experience as a Canadian resident can attest. People watch horror movies all the time, and discuss them publicly and regularly without legal repercussions.

Cracked likes to take facts which are technically true and blow them out of proportion for the sake of entertainment value.
