Helios, Where's My Scan?

Good evening, all.

I've created a helios, but it's not scanning. 

Well, it scanned a "frontline lancer" 5/20 and a "frontier butcher eximus" 1/3.

Is there a limit per a day, or am I missing something?

Have you got the scanning precept on Helios and lots of spare codex scanners in your gear?

I realised when mine wasn't scanning i didn't have any charges for my codex scanner equipped as part of my gear

Helios uses scanner charges, so you probably finished those.

What everybody above me said, i just wanted to add that Simaris scanner does NOT work with Helios. You have to buy and equip the normal scanners.

For ease you might as well buy thousands of scanners at once, they're pretty cheap and it will take a while until you run out. Some order of 3000 scanners will last for a few months, just so you don't have to worry about it.

I just wish there was a reward for having a completed codex.

 

Anyway, you probably didn't equip codex scanners or didn't equip "Investigator" which is the scanning precept for Helios.  Upgrade it to max if you want quick and easy scans.

 

One more thing, each enemy can only be scanned once.

thank you. so this means that the infinite scan will not work with Helios? damn, good thing i have my nomal scaner and alot of scanner ammo always equiped.

I cannot scan at all with any of the scaners, but, if l'm with another player and they scan I get credit for it but no matter what I Can't get any of my scaners to work . Any suggestions?

Sounds like you're trying to scan Simaris targets from what you're describing. That takes a special scanner you obtain from Simaris in the relays.

Except that the wiki says:

 

• As of Update 18, Helios can use a player's Synthesis Scanner (if one is in your gear) to scan targets if no Codex Scanner is available. If only the Synthesis Scanner is equipped, the Helios scans do not count towards Simaris reputation.

So which is correct?
