(PSN)buddy72757
Just a question... What jobs within the Video Game Industry generally have a high salary?
izzatuw
I'd like to know the answer too... Although not really planning on becoming one.
Nikodemos
You get paid in the immense satisfaction of watching the entire internet call your video game you poured countless hours into complete worthless junk.
OriVerda
Probably not as much as they can considering all their effort but they get to do what they love.
Artekkor
I've read in one russian article that said that making video games is very hard and expensive... Don't remember it saying anything about payday, sadly. But i believe it should be good for amounts of work that you put there. Except for audio recording. ATM there is some kind of boykot going on by audio actors, because of their S#&$ty position in undustry.
StallordD
They get paid decently from what I recall. They're also in pretty high demand as well, though the competition is fierce.
(XBOX)Ghostayamu
They make decent money. On average, Game Programmers make $85,000 per year. People working in the business department make around $100,00 a year. Quality assurance makes the lowest, which is around $45,000 per year. Every company pays different, these are just what they make on average.
Shadow977
I guess that depends on how successful company you are working for.
RobWasHere
Pay is quite high but only if you keep up with constant deadline stress. My friend was working at one company, he was getting around 3k$ per month (in my country its a lot), but left him so mentally exhausted that he almost vomit when saw a computer. Its not work for everybody, also depends on company you work in.
TheBrsrkr
That's a funny joke, OP. Constant deadlines, countless mistakes being made, not everyone works together and the bugs. The bugs....... After I saw my friend go through with it, I don't think I want any part of it. Testing is much easier.
Gammaion
I would hate to be a game developer. Extremely risky (there's no guarantee that the game will be a success) and stressful.
