People are better off reading the manga from how much they butchered the anime adaptation. Kaneki's character got skewered, vital information was left out, lots of character development left out, arcs changed around, etc.. Then there's the pacing issue as well. I think they shoved around 70 chapters into 12 episodes. Crap, I'm sounding like one of those people. But yeah, what I said about it still stands. It was a train wreck. You should read Hitoribocchi no Seikatsu About a socially awkward girl as well, though she's cuter and less vulgar than Tomoko.
