(PSN)zeratul____12
Ive just finished an anime series and was hoping for help finding a new one, it has to fit at least 3 of my criteria: 1. Sci-fi setting 2. Bug like swarms of enemies 3. lots of gunplay and machinegun fire 4. Power armour or Mecha 5. lots of death 6. A huge war going on 7. A good romance Think Colonial Marines vs Xenomorphs, or Starship troopers Thank you Edited February 26, 2016 by (PS4)zeratul____12
TheErebus.
I suppose Knights of Sidonia will do you best. I'd recommend the manga though, but I guess the anime will do nicely.
YasaiTsume
Heavy Object. Or just watch the latest Gundam.
Datsher
I'd say Schwarzesmarken but I died of cringe while watching the first episode and haven't planned on watching further any time soon. I also lost any interest in the anime after it tried to tell me that anyone in the right mind would like to be in the DDR rather than literally anywhere else. Don't know anything about the Muv-luv universe though so I can't say if east Germany was something other than a failed piece of socialism guided by the USSR there. so I got nothing Edited February 24, 2016 by Skycook3y

Just finished watching Knights of Sidonia,, it was good, but some of the animation was pretty bad especially with lip movements, but the fight scenes were spot on. (PSN)zeratul____12
Just now, TheErebus. said: Yeah I dislike the 3D animation as well. i dont mind 3D it opens up for more unique art styles but is usually best left for fight scenes with mecha or robots. Take RWBY for instance, its 3D but has a very unique art style and the fight scene are pure awesomeness

(XBOX)Vance Frost
I say One Punch Man and if anyone says that it doesn't meet his standards I'll debate with you otherwise.

Ibro156
I was going to suggest the Fate series, till I saw "Sci-fi setting". So Aldnoah.Zero?
(PSN)KAZZILLA99
as difficult as it would be to find one anime that will fit all those themes, i can give you some that almost fit all of them. cowboy bebop you got your sci-fi, your gunplay, your spaceships, your death, your light romance. or terra formars, you got your sci fi, your bugs, your crazy violence, your death. . for future reference it would be alot easier if you gave names of animes you're into so we have a better idea. your preference seems to be all over the place. (PSN)zeratul____12
Ok just finished watching Muv Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse, it was good for the first episode or 2 but then it went down hill, I hate stories that have us stuck with people that aren't really involved in the war, I wanted to see these guys up on the front line not pissing around military bases. And my god the pseudo harem thing was just painful along with the Hot Springs episode, both were un-needed and felt forced. I did like it but somethings I didnt like especially the whole of the Russian conspiracy
