Download the song turn the pitch and tempo up and that basically what nightcore is now in days. Back in my time people called it "Chimpmonk music" Here are the only artist I know that makes actual nightcore. Sorry I don't know alot. The genre really did hit a wall. YasaiTsume
Nightcore? Yu mean fast forwarding a track and adding beats? It's a nice easy way to get dance music but seriously there are better genres.
Basdiow
I really don't get the hate against Nightcore, I just like some songs to be faster paced and higher pitched.
Arcane_Intelligence
I sometimes listen some nightcore too. However it really depends on the song itself if it can be nightcored or not. Some songs just does not work, and some does work. Spoiler

notlamprey
Just look at the "art" on some of these videos. "Nightcore" moved almost instantly to the point of self-parody; as has already been pointed out in this thread, the "genre" is bereft of creativity. Entirely unsophisticated. The plague isn't totally contained, either. I've noticed some of its more egregious sins, clunky uptempo arrangements and squeaky voices, creeping out into Electro Swing. I'm aware that being a "hater" will only serve to further entrench the fan base, but at least that way we might manage to isolate and quarantine the disease. I hate "nightcore." I don't want to; in an ideal world, I wouldn't hate anything. Unfortunately, my brain and I are in agreement on this one. You have to pick the battles you fight, and I've elected to let this one go. I just don't have the energy to be compassionate about everyone's preferences, especially when it puts me at odds with my own dumb brain. Yzjdriel
Sigh. Nightcore is two Norwegian guys who remixed a few sad love songs in 2002 as part of a school project. Then someone took some of their songs off a CD, put them on Youtube, and BAM - bad copycats EVERYWHERE. As far as the 'genre' is concerned, a true 'Nightcore' of something is created by taking the original song, loading it into Audacity, cranking the speed up to 1.3+, and ADDING A TRACK BEHIND IT of something that wasn't in the original song, derived from the original song, or taken from anywhere else: the 'backtrack' that sits behind the sped-up music is an original composition created by the mixer. Nightcore the group KICKS ARSE. Nightcore the 'genre' is full of people who think they can do a good job and just... CAN'T. Exceptions are few and far between, but I've stopped looking for them. I did find out about him through Happy Hardcore mixes/albums. The genres can sound pretty similar too I guess.
