Let Hilarity Ensue? [Endgame Meta]

Question

No, really this is in the right section.

Okay, so.  I've pretty much hit that point where there isn't anything I need to do anymore.  And with that comes the first problem with the endgame in Warframe (or lack thereof).

Boredom.

There is absolutely nothing left in this game that I need to do.  I know I'm not the only one in this position, yet you all manage to stay active, happy, and tuned-in to the game.

So here's the question: now that I have nothing left that absolutely needs doing, what do I do?  Should I just log in for sorties and raids, endlessly farm the Void for still more Ducats I won't spend in enough quantities at a time to ever run out of, or what?

Any suggestions OTHER than 'just troll the Forums 25/8' (which is what I'm doing already, obviously) would be greatly appreciated.

-Build every Warframe and figure out how to make them all work.

-Build every weapon you take an interest in and max them out completely.

-Find all the Kurias. Complete your Codex. Unlock all the Lore from Simaris.

-Try crazy, nonstandard Warframe builds and make them work. As an example, I have a melee Banshee, and an Excalibur built around spamming Slash Dash.

-Play Trade Chat, the true PVP of Warframe, so you can afford all the cosmetic crap you ever wanted. FashionFrame is endgame!

-Build a collection of Noggles to rival DERebecca.

-Take up Kogake Skeet Shooting.

-Or hell, just take a break from the game and play something else for a while. Sometimes you just burn out on a game and have to take a break. There's no point forcing yourself to log in if you don't want to be there.

I enjoy the game for the gameplay. Doesn't really matter to me what I'm doing. Hek, even after 3 years I'll run Apollodorus. Ran into a one week new player and helped them a bit. I enjoy doing spy missions and that style of play, so I'll run through a mission trying to not be noticed by enemies with Ivara (limited use of invisibility, more zipline/noise arrow).

That is hilarious!

On another note, take a break, play a different game. I've moved over to Division and will dip into both

I got into raiding for a while. Cleared all 3 raids every night which is a good hour or so right there unless you have a specialized team. Collected a ton of highly desirable arcanes that will serve as backup plat to boot. Experimenting with new playstyles and unorthodox builds is fun as well. I'll browse mechanics and weapons on the wiki until I find something that interests me after which I bring it into the game for field testing.

There is absolutely no reason to keep playing warframe heavily once you clear all the content from an update. Usually what happens with me is that aside from daily logins and syndicate rep, I'll migrate to another game briefly until the next .X or X.0 update or special event during which I'll binge warframe as much as possible. There are a ton of great indie games out there to try out that are great time killers.

Try scanning for enemies for one, it adds more depth instead of just killing enemies straight.

Other than that, PVP is part of the endgame as much as I am concerned. Instead of trying to play meta against mindless mobs, test your skills against other tenno in a deathmatches. It does have its cons; some things are OP, but it is much more balanced than the powercreep that is PVE.

But if you feel like other games does PVP better, then you might as well take a break for a while. Still, i'd recommend you watching the livestream today.

I'm on hiatus mostly, but I'm still working on building my clan and alliance up.  I'd like it to become more "Awesome", but things are going slowly.  I check in every now and then to say hi to people.

I've dove back into Trove, I remembered enjoying that game a fair bit.  Still fun.  After that, I'm diving into Defiance, love that whole "race and kill aliens" vibe.

I also dusted off my old "Final Doom Collection", and am playing it again with zDoom.  It adds mouselook and jumping!  IDKFA and lots of entertainment ensues.

I've already built every frame (some multiple times - All Hail my Trinity of Trinity Primes!) and am almost finished putting the requisite formas in all of them (nekros is all I have left to add the last forma to).

I've pretty much built all the weapons I care to at the moment - Zhuge is cooking.

I've got all but 2 of them, but I'll find the buggers.

Oh, believe me, I've done this.  That's kind of my 'signature' in our Clan: some of us teach new players things.  For example, one player is the Sniper specialist, and another is the Tankframe specialist.  I teach them "hey, so everyone thinks Warframe X is used only for A, and sometimes B.  I'm going to show you how to make it Giraffe."

I already have all the cosmetics I want currently in the game (aside from a few more Tennogen items I'll pick up with my next paycheck), but FashionFrame is always a good time.  I'm a proponent of the Fabulous Frame series.

I'm actually not a big fan of noggles.  They just aren't aesthetically pleasing to my eye.  Idk, call me weird.

Kogake Skeet Shooting is one of the greatest things to ever accidentally become possible.

I do need to get back into Skyrim...

There was never anything, you NEEDED to do. If your main drive was to play Pokeframe and to gonna catch 'em all, then take a break and wait a bit until DE release new stuff.

If your main drive is gameplay then play the missions you like best in the most fun way, you can imagine. I, for instance, like spy missions on super-stealthy (stealth outside of the vaults, without invisibility and only silent weapons, modded so they can one-shot enemies, but with a very low fire rate). Sometimes friends and I play Swag-Frame and we only play the best looking frames with mods, that suit the "theme" of the looks. And then get wasted by medium level enemies, cause looks aren't everything :)
