How to change color of mods (flame mods, electricity mods, cold mods)

Hey guys, so I saw on a few YouTube videos that people had different color electricity on their weapons.

I was wondering how I could change the color of my "melting impact" mod on my orthos melee to a different color from just the plain orange flame.

The flames coming out of my orthos from the mod doesn't really suit my appearance... Could someone help?

Would you be able to provide a video showing the different colour's on weapons?

Since as far as I know, you can't change the colours of mods. Unless your mistaking it for different colours on warframe abilities, some affect weapons or corrosive damage, which looks like green lightning.

I don't believe the mods themselves affect the color of your elemental effects. Perhaps it's differing graphics options, such as color correction? Try playing around with your graphics.

If the different color electricity you saw was green, then it's not electricity.

That is a different element, corrosive, used by combining Elec + Toxin.

Try mix and matching different primary elements to make secondary ones. See which one matches the one in the video, Corrosive is most likely.

So what could I combine my melting impact mod (the fire mod) with to make it different colors?

You can combine Heat and any other basic element,
though different elements (combined or not) have differing effectiveness against enemy factions:

If you don't like the "optimal" element(s) visually, you could just hide your melee when inactive (option under Appearance).
