Are Body Count and Blood rush mods viable for a non-melee player?

I thought about putting those 2 mods on my nikana prime, but I don't know if it will work as I'm not a melee player.

Do you ever hit enemies more than 5 times in a row, or kill multiple enemies in a row using melee?

Yes>  Use blood rush and body count

No> Use raw damage mods instead.

If you shoot first and slice later, then perhaps not.

But it seems almost criminal not to use them, they're that good.

Sure if your like me and love to smash you enemies face in with giant hammer. Then yes. But they usually shine the most during long time when using melee mode

Body Count is probably worth throwing on just about any melee weapon, regardless of how often you use it. The ability to ramp up that much damage that quickly is just too good, even if you only use it occasionally. Blood Rush, eh. If you're just going to use melee occasionally and you want a crit mod, you're better off with Maiming Strike.
