Dirge looks at the beast.

"Truth be told I'd be fine if you wanted to hunt then. We try to leave them mostly alone. Things are fine but we don't want them seeing us a a threat. Of course if their being a nuisance that's another story." He says. "But if you really want to hunt, I'd recommend Fluffles. Farmers hate the little fur balls. You have open reign to shoot any you see. Outside the city of course."

He climbs into the transport.

"Anything you want to know about this place?" He asks. "Or any particular place you want to see?"

Lord hpees onto the transport. "I get it. I'd just like to research how they grow their armor. I suppose R&D can cover it when they get here. Speaking of which, the tour. Any points of interest, really. Interesting natural phenomena, wildlife, plant life, other things of interest to a research-based clan.

Dirge pulls a short distance away and then stops, pointing to a mound of what appears to be fur pillows.

"These." He says. "Are Fluffles."

He looks the mound.

"They breed like rabbits every month." He says. "They are the worst of pests. Feel free to kill as many as you want next time you are in the plains. Just make sure you take care of the remains. Otherwise they'll eat eachother. Bloody things are scavengers."

He shifts the vehicle and drives.

"Capitol is a good distance away." He says. "Any questions about resources or history?"

Lord looked bewilderedly at the Fluffles. "Wha... why..." He shook his head. "I see no way these things could have survivled in such an environment, but I suppose nature takes its course...". He returned his attention to Dirge. "Power resources. What thresholds do we have as far as power usage? Our facilities have abnormally high power usage, and I would need to know if we would need to bring our own generators to supplement power supply."

Seth got a short message from his mentor and turned back to the liset.

"Tell me miss, how does your arm feel?"

"Limp.  Probably broken.  Nothing Katherine can't fix."  She tried to sit up, winced, and lay back down again.  "My back hurts as well apparently."

 

A solid black Trinity Prime with silver trim walked up the street from the direction of the landing platform and stopped when it reached the first few pieces of rubble.  A series of three short, high-pitched beeps emitted from it, and with a hiss and a series of clicking sounds, the top of the helmet opened to reveal that it was empty.

"Not a problem. I'll just have to have the teams sent along with backup generators. Our research pursuits mainly include weapons and defense research and development. Up until now, we've mainly been focused on energy-based defense and weapons systems, but there's been a call to shift to more biological systems. For instance, if we could find out how the Behemoths grow their armor, we could have a way of artificially synthesizing some ourselves, or even producing armors that can self-regenerate with limited capacity."

"Don't trouble yourself worrying about how it works," said Richard as he walked over to it.  The front of the frame shifted, unhinged, and opened wide enough for him to step inside.  He removed a sparkling blue and silver bracelet from his left arm before doing so, and the frame closed up around him.  "This is three years of work and the parts from five separate Trin Primes.  Took me a long time to get it outfitted for me to use here on Phenix."  The helmet closed after he spoke, and the lights clicked on.  He began moving toward the other side of the rubble.  "Katherine, can you give Lucious a hand?"

The woman who had been arguing with the Rhino before was tapping a teenager's knee with a reflex hammer.  She turned when Richard spoke from his frame. "Sure.  What've we got?"  She handed the hammer to an attendant and began picking her way toward Lucious.

She waved her hand dismissively.  "Don't worry about that.  I've got that covered."  She turned and caught the gauntlet Richard had thrown her.  As she slid it onto her right arm, one could notice the middle finger was missing.  The reason for this became clear as she connected a thin wire from the back of the gloved hand to a shimmering blue ring on her middle finger.  The gauntlet hummed to life, a small holographic screen projecting from the side to act as a HUD.  "I'll take care of Nalia.  See if you can find anyone else under that section."  She indicated a large portion of what Lucious now realized was not a toppled wall, but a collapsed ceiling.

Dirge looks over.

"Sounds very helpful." He says "We need research on weapons tech and defenses. Ryoko usually handles a lot of that, but he's tied up with the combat craft more than personal weapons."

He pulls to a stop beside a cliff. A Dojo seemed to be docked at the edge, a thin walkway extending to it.

"This is where we did most of our research." Dirge says. "It's not used much since... Well since we made the shipyard." 

He walks up to the entrance and keys in a code. 

"Odd." He says. "I though we had allocated power to this."

He keys in a command and the lights flicker. 

"Strange." He says. "It seems someone cut the power."

He calmly draws his rifle. The door slides open.

Inside there are plasma scorches and bullet holes in the walls. It looks like a fight happened here.

"Grineer." Dirge says. "Probably stragglers. Though I can't imagine how they got access to this facility."

He nods to Lord.

"Looks like you are my second, for this." He says. "You up for it?"

"I will do that, Katherina." He said as he pushed more rubble aside, it was disturbing to think that this was once a fully standing building. He tried to listen to any voices shouting for help.

"Lead the way." Lord said cheerfully. He ejected the clip of Ballista rounds and reloaded regular ones before drawing his Akjagara. A light on his shoulder blinked to life as they walked in.

Her voice sounds cheerful and you smile. A thought slithers into your head. They did say to leave the pets on the ship. You wouldn't want to make a bad impression on such a nice person, would you?

A single magazine sits beneath the rubble. It appears to be a standard sniper ammo box. Words are scrawled on the side.

"That's one of the Archon's anti-sentient rounds." He says. "They have three modes. Plasma charge, impact, and blade. They can self modify mid flight. Ryoko usually keeps those locked up tight. How did one get here?"

He looks back and begins to move towards the door. Something else sparkles beneath another pile. 

You hear noises coming from the next room, it sounds Ike there is something beyond the door. Lifting the rubble would only take a second, however, and might contain another clue.

"Anti-Sentient, huh? Mid-flight conversion is quite the feat." He truned towards the door, gesturing in its direction. "There's some stuff in here I'd like to investigate. Would you mind scouting out that next room?" he asked as he toppled the next pile of rubble.
