Questions about scanning

Out of the three widgets that you can get from simaris, are any of them usable on your codex scanner? Are any of them usable on your Helios or Heliocor? Can your Helios or Heliocor give you simaris standing if you only equip your simaris scanner on your gear tab?

Nope. You have to scan everything by yourself. That's why he always says ''Knowledge must be earned, Tenno.''

The widgets are all upgrades for your Synthesis Scanner, which will accomplish everything your Codex Scanner will and more. Sol Battery widget is the best to get first. Codex Scanner is still useful as Helios requires charges of it to scan things, if you feel like filling your Codex passively.

EDIT: Apparently Helios will in fact use your Synthesis Scanner when activating its precept, so the Codex Scanner is no longer necessary after acquiring the Cephalon edition.

No which makes the helios pretty pointless once you've got the codex full if I'm honest....even if you include the mod that shows weak spots.

Thanks for the info. Just one more thing: If I equip my Helios along with my synthesis scanner in my gear slot, will it be able to benefit from the infinite scans from the Sol Battery Widget along with the benefits from the other 2 widgets?

I don't know the name of the upgrade, but the one with which you don't consume synthesis scanners anymore works on Helios and Heliocor, but only with Synthesis scanners equipped, Codex scanners are consumed as usual. Don't know about the other upgrades. Not sure about simaris rep, but you need to scan synthesis targets yourself (which are the main source of simaris rep).

Helios works with synthesis scanners and the Sol-Battery widget works, so no, codex scanners are useless once you have the widget.

Helios and heliocor can use the sol battery widget for uimited scanning. Cross matrix I am not sure, while the vector thread doesn't affect helios and heliocor only scans on kill. And no, they won't give simaris standing.

Helios is Codex slave, so no to Symaris standings and he will profit from Symaris widgets until the Codex scans needed will not be full.
