(XBOX)RAG is NAROK
So recently I saw the Volu skin that comes with the trinity pack and I thought it looked pretty cool. However, I am not really sure what the best stave weapon would be to use it with so I figured I would ask here on the forums. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. 0 (XBOX)chillichillman
lesion, tipedo, or bo/prime mod all for status lesion will give you some crazy status stuff, and can add in viral with that toxin proc tipedo is bleed upon bleed bo is infinite stagger. 0 Rolunde
I wanted to read this as "the best Steve weapon" which then makes me wonder what weapon is Steve's favorite? Anyhow that silliness aside- The Lesion is fantastic but... it's not a Stave so can't use the Volu skin. So from there the 2 "best" options are the Bo Prime and the Tipedo . Tipdeo has Slash, both Crit and Status, and a very high Attack Speed. Bo Prime is an Impact weapon and stat-wise compared to the Tipedo: lower Crit (12.5% vs 20%) higher Status (25% vs 20%) higher damage but lower Attack speed (which is still pretty fast at 1.08). Again I don't think you can wrong between them and it's just what seems more interesitng to you. A staff that does Slash, has high(er) Crit and crazy high attack speed. A staff that staggers and knocks enemies around and still has a pretty decent attack speed. Both have plenty of Status if that's of interest to you. The Tipedo does have a lot in common with the Lesion too for what that is worth. Lower base damage and Status but with (much) higher Crit. Again like Bo Prime the Lesion isn't slow but Tipedo is super fast.
0 Hitsuke
Orthos Prime is better than everything mentioned here up to lv60, especially with Primed Reach.
0 Rolunde
Orthos Prime is indeed fantastic, but... same as the Lesion it's a Polearm not a Stave and thus can't use the Volu skin either.
0 Xzorn
OP is talking about a "Staff" for a staff specific skin. Not Polearms..... Tipedo is your answer. Tipedo is better than the other staves by a rather large margin due to it's heavy Slash / Crit and decent status. You can go for Front-end Damage which is only slightly better than Bo or specialize it into Slash status to melt through armor which means Tipedo will melt through high level armored enemies three times faster than Bo. 0 Insizer
While I love the Bo series, I really have to say it is the Tipedo by far. It has great range, and stupidly good crit chance, which is really all that matters with the current melee meta. The Bo Prime has good status chance though.
