Aero To Basic?

Whenever I'm playing Warframe, Windows 7 helpfully pops up to ask me "Do I want to change the colour scheme to improve performance?"

This is despite running on a high-end rig with a high-end graphics card.

Anyone else see this?  Or know what could be causing it?

Thanks,

A

this happens to me every time.

I dont mind however because i have issues with warframe and dual monitor set up until im in basic then everything is flawless.

the differences are minuscule, change in color, thats ok im playing a game anyways. cant see windows in tray icons, ok ill just click it to see the full size.

If anything i wouldn't mind finding out how to disable aero permanently

My computer asks the same when i stream. i suspect its to take off the unnecessary load. why run something you wont be using anyways is what it must be thinking lol.

For Windows 7.

Right click on Desktop and choose Personalize.

Under Change the visuals and sound on your computer scroll down and select Windows 7 Basic.

Close window.

Done.  Aero is then disabled.

Usually this means that your system is running low on resources and is asking you to disable Aero so it can perform at optimum speed. However if you would rather ignore these warnings then you can do the following:

- Open your Start Menu and type "Action Center" in the Search box

- Open the Action Center

- Click "Change Action Center settings" on the left sidebar

- Untick the following checkbox: "Windows Troubleshooting" (below "Maintenance Messages")

- Click "OK"

This will prevent your system from displaying these messages in the future.

Alternatively, you could also simply switch to the Basic desktop mode.

Hi Dimitri,

I have taken to running in Basic mode, but I am intrigued by your comment that the system is "running low on resources", as I'm running an i7-3.07GHz with 6 GB RAM and a Geforce GTX 680.  If this rig can run Far Cry 3 with everything turned up, I wouldn't have thought Warframe would worry it too much.

I rather suspect that actually this is something to do with your coding regarding dual-monitors.

Best of luck,

A.
