And, just for clarification, I'm saying the "minority" of players like Conclave because of that data DE presented that showed what percentage of players played which game modes.

PvP. 1.07%. I just want to put that there in case anyone takes offense to my saying that PvP players are a great minority. I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just stating what has been presented to us as fact.

Just for clarification, I've recently seen that chart on another thread but players were saying that it was mission completion instead, while iirc, it's showing the amount of sessions created for each mode (keep in mind that a single pvp session can last many matches), not amount of players playing them, let alone a number of people who likes it. Funny thing is when we see the source of the data for that chart, which is a "representative" sample of 3 days (in a game almost 4 years old), and the data is totally biased since those days are right after the silver groove update , which also had acolytes on the loose, reasons why even people who enjoys pvp would be most likely doing pve stuff instead.

If DE suddenly showed a similar chart with data taken from the days when Snowday Showdown or Quick Steel were taking place, would your mind magically change and say that pvp is starting to be accepted by the community while showing the "updated" chart as a proof? Honestly, I wouldn't see it as an absoulte truth either, the only chart I'd believe in needs a way bigger sample without being biased to any of both parts of the game with an event (be it pve or pvp) AND include data from all platforms instead of a single one.

It doesn't matter what a chart says. The fact is thousands of players in this game play pvp.

That's console and pc.

DE put pvp into their game. We enjoy said pvp and we are looking to make it batter for the thousands that do plan world wide.

Pve players can coming here and we will hold to the same arguement. We want a little bigger slice of the pie. We are not asking to change 50% of the game to suit us. We are asking for cool stuff and fresh new things to do and have. Pve gets a constant stream of new stuff. Toss pvp a bone every now and again.

Yeah, that's exactly why I get annoyed any time I see someone using that biased chart as an absolute truth without even trying to look at it's context or meaning.

What I'm trying to point is, the chart that keeps popping up in every similar thread is as valid as using K/D and pvp syndicate ranking to measure player skill even when most of us know that those are just meaningless numbers.

Heck I like conclave because I can troll limbo rubico sniper fella. And quick steel is more interesting for me since we are all on equal grounds. But even doing dailies feel like an eternity.

I just want them costmetics from teshin....

if conclave is fine the way it is then why does nobody play it? also hitting players can be difficult if you find that false then either you found a aim assist or you are a magicly good shot.

Lots of people play it. Hitting players is easy. Hitting MOVING players is where it becomes a challenge. Attributing aim honed through practice and talent to aimbot or "magic" is kind of disrespectful.

well yeah sitting targets are very easy to hit I was hinting more towards moving players and maybe on the xbox players play conclave but on PC I join a match and I could sit there for about one hour until a single person joins.

I mean it definitely does happen. I'm willing to admit people can just be really good, but I have to be suspicious that someone gunned me down in the first couple seconds of me respawning as I bullet jump around a corner. With consistency.

After a while it becomes easier because you are used to the patterns and movements.

Yeah great PvP... nothing but bullet jumping, aim gliding and lag, great times...

I hit people when they aim glide....like they are just walking

I wait for people to land when they bullet jump.....predictable

Don't like lag? Change your connection or don't play with laggy people.

*key to all issues in conclave*

Anyone playing only for the cosmetic rewards deserves a lifetime supply of empty lobbies.

Ah yes, you are right! I should stop trying to participate on conclave then. One less in your communitty, just how you all like it, right?

Ofcourse you dont, conclave needs more attention otherwise is time wasted by DE. Whatever the reason or incentives a player has should not be of your concern.

I mean it doesnt matter that I enjoyed conclave and I dont consider it a burden to get conclave exclusive rewards? Really? Also that I liked the quick steel update like I mentioned? Nah my goals are different in this game called "warframe".

Of course, Im a scrub for having reasons to go to conclave other than just because.

What you CAN do to avoid people like me polluting your pvp is to block us, we will leave it alone for your leisure eventually :)

Edit: Sorry about that, but I DO like conclave, snipers do matter here unlike PvE. Please stop wishing me missforune because I have my reasons to participate.

Ps; also its kinda odd that this is your first and only post on the forums... and if my spanish isnt bad your name means "one unknown", name of the account made 9 hours ago which coincides with your post made 9 hours ago. Either afraid to speak with your own name, an attempt to trigger me, or its all a huge coincidence. I think I got worked up for nothing again. Oh well, carrying on.

Chill dude. I doubt it was a personal insult rather a joke at your expense.

We in the conclave community enjoy people who are there to shoot for the top and be a challenge. We generally face the same people over and over with a few blips that come up randomly. The majority we face are people who come in specifically for the conclave exclusive skins and we end up wrecking those people and then they come here and attempt to change conclave so it is identical to another games pvp or like pve and slower rather than adapt.

We would like to avoid that stuff.

Even if Im in it for the skins, I enjoy conclave, and I want to master it. My only complaint is the empty lobbies, but thats something to blame on other factors. And heck I say it, I suck. But I dont go on servers to complain and call people hackers. I guess people like me is unfortunately sorrounded by bad stereotypes?

Its the same for people that enjoy raids, they enjoy it yet its a small community in this game.

For those that are angry at conclave and just want those points the missions aside from challenges offer 50k points just for completing them, get a friend to help you complete them, ranking up in conclave will turn from a 1 year goal to like a 1-4 week goal.

It's precisely those people who do nothing but trade kills to farm standing that we don't want playing in Conclave, as they don't contribute to the game mode or community and are essentially leeches.

suggesting that people who don't play conclave don't contribute to the community the whole game is not based off of conclave...

Its not a suggestion it's a fact. How does someone who is boosting contribute the conclave community? Give me 1 good way they could help the conclave community.

A true conclave enthusiast like myself for example is constantly here in the forums attempting to shape conclave and give ideas to improve it.

When im not here I am doing my best to help those who want to be good in conclave. I hold training sessions so people can hang with top tier players.

When im not doing that I am usually facing top people to better myself and build my standing so I can outfit players with mods they will need from the relay free of charge.

A booster is selfish and takes away from the competitive nature of conclave and creates a the toxic attitude towards conclave I've been working on for almost 2 years to eliminate.

All I'm going to say is this: There's a reason Conclave is one of the least played game mode in WF, and there's a reason other AAA multiplayer games are much more popular than Warframe. Think about that the next time "Conclave is fine" pops into your head.

EDIT: You know what, I'll say more. I think the above is an indicator, to me, that Conclave isn't fine the way it is. I think it needs serious work. For starters, I think DE needs to look at what multiplayer games are popular and successful (yes, both are important imo). Understand the gameplay mechanics that make them successful. IMO, the problems with Conclave are 1) the movement mechanics (including running/sprinting animations and parkour) aren't suited for multiplayer gameplay, 2) the gunplay mechanics (particularly how the character moves when holding a gun) aren't suited for multiplayer gameplay, and 3) the game modes themselves aren't good enough imo (and I'll explain this).

For movement, I think it'd help if Warframe had motion-captured running, sprinting, and walking animations, and if these animations were IK-based (inverse kinematics). I think this would greatly improve the movement in the game (PvE and PvP) and make it smoother and less clunky. I also think Conclave would be much better without bullet jumping and aim gliding. Wall running/hopping/latching is fine, but I think Conclave should be more about gunplay, swordplay, and abilities than about bullet jumping and aim gliding across the room.

For gunplay, particularly how the player moves while holding a primary or secondary weapon, I think DE could look to traditional first and third person shooters for influence. Whether it's Call of Duty, Halo, Battlefield, Battlefront, Medal of Honor, Ghost Recon, or Rainbow Six, there's a pretty standard movement scheme that's proven to work: when you are moving side to side, left to right (i.e. strafing), your character's body still faces forward; when you move backwards, your character backs up instead of turning 180 degrees. While some players might not think it matters, it does because it affects your character's aim. Right now, in Warframe, when you move side to side, your entire body turns in that direction; when you're in the middle of shooting, it's clunky and affects your aim. When the character moves back (when you press S), the character turns all the way around, also affecting your aim. Maybe it's a trivial thing to some (and, imo, it certainly isn't as important as changing the movement system), but I certainly notice the difference when playing Warframe versus playing a game with a more traditional gunplay system. Oh, and I think PvP should be an exclusively primary/secondary system with quick melee. I don't think Warframe's current melee system is suitable for PvP. If they introduced a dueling system for melee, only then would I think it'd work in PvP.

As for the game modes, I just think that we could have some more interesting PvP game modes that could be better than what we currently have. Take a look at the current PvE game modes, particularly the older ones: Exterminate, Capture, Rescue, Assassinate, Defense, Mobile Defense. Now, imagine if these were put into Conclave, with their same PvE tilesets. Exterminate would simply be team death match, but on the PvE tileset. Capture would probably be a king of the hill/domination type game mode where each team is trying to capture and hold a target. Rescue PvP would be a mode where one team is tasked with guarding a target while the other team is trying to rescue them. The rescuing team would have to escort the target to extraction while holding them in one arm. Assassinate would be where one team has to defend one of their team members while the other team is trying to kill them; each player on the defending team would each get a chance to be the target before the mission ends. Defense would be where one team is defending a static objective, the other is attacking. Mobile Defense could be a game mode where the defending team has to defend a moving target that reaches certain check points, while the attacking team gets a limited amount of time at each checkpoint to attack and destroy the moving target (think Hijack without having to move the target with your shields). I think all of this would make for a much more interesting PvP experience than the current Conclave.

There. I don't think Conclave is fine the way it is and I think that my suggestions could make it better. It'd certainly become a game mode that I would enjoy.

Archwing is less played than conclave
