Cool fact about Ash's shuriken

The ability actually has a headshot damage bonus, but it actively tries to avoid scoring headshots.

As of now one cast of shuriken can deal 4,000 finisher damage from slash procs.

If you where to score a headshot, the ability will actually deal 10,000 finisher damage from slash procs.

So in conclusion, Ash's shuriken has only been dealing HALF it's maximum damage potential for the past 2-3 years due to it's homing mechanic only aiming for bodyshots.

DE NEEDS to change shuriken's homing mechanic to allow the ability to use the headshot bonus it has.

EDIT: PLEASE Don't cry about bladestorm or tell me about your rework for ash, I just want DE to make a simple targeting change to current shuriken.

What I'd like Shuriken to be:

  • Base ability is NOT homing, but rather one big (think Miter hitbox) punchthrough Shuriken
  • It still deals its slash+bleed damage, but also adds to the melee combo counter
  • The shuriken reduces armor (and shields) of struck enemies.
  • It also procs impact (i.e. a stagger)
  • Seeking Shuriken augment converts (or adds?) it into 1/2/3/4 homing shuriken, which has no punchthrough, but still does the same debuffs as the regular one (each).
  • Razorwind Shuriken (new augment, as I think there should be alternatives), instead adds razorsharp ashes to the base shuriken (making it deal its damage in almost the same size as an Arca Plasmor), along with blinding struck enemies for a brief moment (say, 4 seconds?) and increasing its flightspeed by a big amount (say, 100%?). Debuffs the same as the base Shuriken too.

I would rather have a useful bladestorm

The ability can still kill lvl 100 enemies but that isn't what this topic is about.

This is probably because Shuriken used to be a skillshot ability... and you'd probably be more likely to miss if it homed in on the head

I don't think it will miss as much as it does now, the ability has some hardcore targeting mechanics and it's spammable.
