...something we can see from our bridge in the nav-map or even more fancy, let us see the earth rotating with the day/night dividers visible from space when in orbit (and visual of the tower in cetus from space - i mean it sure is big enough to be visible in orbit).

the reason is not onyl tactical in nature (seeing how much more time we have for eidolon or core hunting, or time for fishing), but also, one should think a fance space ninja can have his/her ships sensors tell the local time of the landing zone, right?

It could be something as simple as mousing over the node and having it say something like "Night Cycle: 35 minutes remaining"

I thought of this before too... personally I think there is a nice spot next to our map, I mean there is nothing there so why not have a clock there in a similar format to what Maicael said except a little bit shorter: "Night: 23 Min"

Also yes, having one on the Star-Chart somewhere would also be great~.
