Deathbricked
Defection and infested survival. In defection there are infested spores in the air killing the defectors over time, yet we move around fine and don't need any life support or whatever, it's just another day in the office. And then we have survival. If we run out of life support on infested runs, the infested flood the place with infested spores which kill us like we are running out of air. Death thinks something needs to get fixed a bit :P
(PSN)Shaun-T-Wilson
Tenno are imunne to infestation spores, in survival missions the "air" is also toxic in addition to spores.
(XBOX)ultimategamerjr
Space magic, don't question it or we might have to start hitting life support capsules on defection missions....

The lack of air is what kills us during survival, much like when you break a window on a corpus ship. I'm still not quite sure how this works on "land" survivals tho. Yeah... because the person inside the armor needs to breathe, right? Right? Tell me again why we need air? Except on Archwing missions, where we conveniently don't?
