o.0- Posted February 16, 2018 Share Posted February 16, 2018 I can imagine a thicker housing around the barrel, containing the powerful electromagnets and a regenerative power source that a hand-held coil/gauss gun would require to keep firing in the field. Like a mass produced mass of carbon nanotubes and some piezo electric generator/dynamo. Its description mentions magnetic induction, IIRC, and since it deals Electric damage, it could be firing an electrically charged metallic sabot.
