(XBOX)FlawlessBugle68
So, on the Xbox, if one does not have Xbox live, they cannot access a clan’s dojo, even if it’s their own solo clan. This could be simply fixed by making dojos act like relays in this case, where solo players can enter the dojo, but it would be empty of players. Obviously they would need the dojo key, so if a player lost their gold status but had joined a clan prior, they’d still be able to help with construction tasks and other non-player interacting parts of the clan. If Xbox really gave you an issue, make it so that players could only enter the dojo if a) they were the warlord? b) if they’re the only member in their clan... Optimally, however, a player would be able to enter their dojo as long as they have the key, and the only drawback would be that they couldn’t trade, pvp, etc. *If the player only had the key blueprint, it would stay in their inventory regardless of live status when they build it, multiplayer would only be needed for someone to invite the player
Koldraxon-732
This issue I believe is also present on Playstation's variation of the 'online subscription fee', and it's Microsoft/Sony's fault for having a World of Warcraft-like subscription system which, at this rate, is archaic practice and is essentially 'you give us money so you can go online on our proprietary network' - not unlike a 'what if Steam had a subscription fee for multiplayer?' scenario. If DE was to try and build a workaround for such a thing, they'll likely get in trouble for it. Edited June 28, 2018 by Koldraxon-732 Added a guess as to what could happen if DE tried to find a workaround for that.
(XBOX)Evilpricetag
thats allot of coding specifically for console, which is something they are trying to stay away from, this will in turn give us faster updates.

Koldraxon-732
Just now, (PS4)KresTias said: u dont need PS+ Then Microsoft better step up their game and change the reason for having the subscription from 'multiplayer access' to 'perks, free games, discounts' and the like or else it would be less expensive for Console Tenno to restart on PC, only issue will be that they'll have to endure everything from ground zero all over again. (XBOX)FlawlessBugle68
I feel like it shouldn’t be that much of a difficulty, they already do something similar for relays, they only difficulty I suppose would be that they would have to have separate instances for the dojos, which would likely naturally cause issues. That, and of course, Xbox deciding that that would be too much interaction amongst players, despite no players actually talking or even seeing each other through the Xbox itself. (PSN)reddragonhrcro
Wow, wasn't aware that that's a thing on xbox. Seriously, a subscription required for a F2P game that requires online? What the hell were they thinking.
(XBOX)FlawlessBugle68
They were probably not thinking specifically about f2p games Could de make it so players can make “solo” clans, which only allow 1 player, but has reduced build prices and such as well? This would be beneficial for all platforms, especially for players who prefer playing solo. Doing this would then allow players on Xbox without live to have clan buffs as well, at least research wise. Currently, people without live can’t get frames and weapons that are only researchable with clans, unless the put in plat, making it no longer a true f2p, as no matter what they have to put in money for either the items or live. These clans would have a very hefty cost to upgrade, or not be upgradable at all, in terms of size. Making a solo option for clans would provide a way to do this without directly subverting Xbox in the process. Another idea could be to allow players to access the clan from their orbiter, setting up building projects, doing research and getting bps accordingly. Obviously only in accord with their permissions within the clan. Edited June 29, 2018 by (XB1)FlawlessBugle68 Fixed typo
