Why don’t we have any more Sai or Warfan weapons?

I don’t particularly mind that we only have 1 (I think) Sai weapon, and no more Warfans have come out yet in the game, but they are very cool weapons with lots of design potential, so I was just wondering if we would ever get anymore of these 2 types of weapons.

Well the Okina are classed as dual daggers and those have never gone over well because of middling stats and no range so why make more until melee balance and warfrans are the newest melee type, to put this into perspective the destreza was added in 18.3 and we didn't see another rapier until the endura in update 20.6.

 

TL;DR Dual daggers suck and warfans are new and I wou;dn't expect a new one until update 24 at the earliest.

we only have 1 warfan because they are super new. also dual daggers are horrible but that might change with melee 3.0.

There's pretty much a guarantee that someday we'll get more Warfans, after all I don't think DE actually likes putting the development time into a stance for a single weapon. but well... Gimmicky weapons will always be less common than standard, and warfans are relatively new so it'll be a while.

As for Okina, they're pretty much just regular dual daggers without any of the unique mechanics that make the Sai interesting (grappling and disarming), we'll probably get a variant of the Okina at some point, but tbh I don't see the point in any more unique sais.

Fan weapons are pretty new.

We don’t really need new war fans since the gunsen are great. They just need a new stance since the current one is clunky with all the pauses.

what would you even have in mind for multiple Sai Weapons?
Sai kinda fill a very specific role as Weapons. and Warframe isn't exactly a realistic depiction of anything, so Sai are Sai as far as Warframe is concerned.
