Game Freezing While Performing Midair Melee Using Scoliac

I'm not sure what else contributes to this bug, but my game has frozen (stopped responding, had to end the program in task manager) several times since update 15, and each time (that I've noticed) it was while I was doing a midair melee attack with the Scoliac.

 

I haven't been able to reproduce it intentionally, yet.

 

Using Windows 7 64-bit and playing through Steam if it matters.

This has been happening to me, too. 3 times so far.

 

I was using a Scoliac and air melee-ing upwards.

 

It's happened as a host and a client.

Yes! I am using the Scoliac when it happens. Also, correction to my previous conjecture: the angle doesn't have to be upwards (or at least not a sharp upward angle), and solo/host/client doesn't seem to matter.

From what I've learned talking with other friends online, happens to them as well ( mainly ) when using Scoliac.  ( however, that does not mean it can not happen with other melee weapons as I've crashed while using Zorrens )

 

 

would be nice if we could get a DE to notice this.

Same goes for me -- few days ago started getting random lock-ups and yes, i'm also using only scoiliac.

Edited the OP to reflect new information. Let's hope this gets fixed in the next hotfix, since I'd really like to be able to use the Scoliac again.

Froze again today while using Scoliac. haven't had issues with Scoliac air attacks for a few days till today.

I wanted to try it again with the latest updates.  Played a night's worth of missions with no problems.  Next day though it crashed again.  This time I was paying a bit more attention and realized I had been in the middle of the reload animation when I tried to quickly tap jump and melee.

Holy crap this kept happening to me, but I never thought the cause could be my wonderful Scoliac itself! I can finally start using directional melee again soon!

Still crashes (a lot).

 

Happens regularly with my Saryn (coptering).

 

Edit: some finding, since I copter pretty much everywhere with my Saryn;

- it feels like it happens more (or faster) in the void, one out of two exterminates I solo tends to crash with the Scoliac.

- outside the Void I'd say it crashes roughly every 100 copters, inside roughly every 50.

- it feels to me like it happens slightly more often when you're the host (no real numbers behind it though).

- other that it feels utterly random and I can't reproduce it on the spot in any way.

 

As far as I can tell it didn't get fixed by any of the hotfixes.
