Loki's disarm disrupts fellow players?
When the entire group camps behind 10+ electric shields with 50 second+ duration, turning all enemies into melee units defeats the entire purpose of electric shield.
With the right volt its easy to go 2 hours and up - not that anyone really wants to play that long but that's how efficient the strategy is

Wait there was a volt? Well my friend that's because disarm ruins electric shield.
Electric shield spam is an amazing strategy but if you're not using a nova as well then lokis disarm can cause some issues.

Oh, really? I thought by status it meant "set enemy on fire" or "freeze enemy" or "poison enemy" or some kind of ELEMENTAL status.
Boo. So just swap out the 60% mods for the 90's and it's good?
Is it worth going status on Bo Prime, or should I just do 90% there as well?
Unless you're Excal, Loki or Ash you're best off using status on pretty much all melee because dps for melee is terrible and utility is muuuuuch better

spoke to [DE]Dave a few days ago and was told they purposely have punch-through negated when shot through electric shield because they can't find a way to have it without the infinite dmg glitch. Really hoping they find the issue soon!

Grakata can go further if you're not using 4 CP and/or don't like aiming at the head
Otherwise 4 CP and/or headshots with soma prime will be better

this happens with everything and not just projectiles, hit-scan weapons lose punch through also

DE loves to make "bugs" until they decide whether or not to make it "official" or fix it when they get enough complaints

- Prioritize what is most important to kill (Bombards, Nullifiers, Eximus)
- Practice using your CC/Dmg PREVENTION abilities at the proper times
- Practice different survival strategies (hiding behind cover, precision aiming far away from spwans)
- Play to not get hit

also [DE]Danielle only confirmed the part of that post in which Dera was able to gain infinite dmg due to it building up all electric shield bonus' for the entire game and this was fixed immediately.

if you're a headshot master than crits can scale even up to lv 100-120 with soma prime
but braton prime is amazing if you dont feel like aiming for the head

another hot fix for PC without fixing this issue :/
it might sound like something so little but without punch through volt cannot use the crit multiplier/elec dmg bonus effectively enough to deal with crowds

Thank you again for your post spotted sweater I wanted to know if I should stick it out and wait until consoles obtained U16.8 or just wait until U17/whenever DE actually gets around to fixing it.
Funny thing is they took out the infinite damage that Dera had specifically where it built up all the bonuses with elereic shield for the entire mission but they couldn't fix something that directly had correlation with it.
Appreciate the post I'll see you guys in 1 month+! Or until DE confirms that this was a complete nerf to volt!

Might as well wait and see in U17 if it's fixed
By then they'll say that it was intended and that they don't want volt to have punch through when shooting through electric shield. -____-

I have tested the issue for you and can confirm the issue still exists.
Some fixes take longer then others and hopefully this will be part of the next hotfix.
Don't give up because of this though, relying on one ability is dangerous.
I am bothered by this but thank you very much for letting me know! Appreciate it my volt brother.

Console is on 16.5.9 but there's a thread from a few weeks ago where [DE]Danielle confirmed that the negation of punch through on Volt's Electric Shield will be fixed in the following update. Well I checked the update patch notes for PC (as you guys are ahead of us console players) and there is nothing confirming that they fixed this bug.
I just want to know if anyone on PC can confirm that DE indeed kept their word and fixed punch through on volts electric shields so that it works again I'm hoping that I can look forward to actually using volt again because atm no punch through kinda ruins him for me
If anyone does not know, electric shield negates ALL punch through from ALL guns and n may 26th [DE]Danielle said it would be fixed but I saw nothing in update 16.8 patch notes about fixing this
please PC players let me know if I have a fix to look forward to in next update for consoles

also syn gam status is broken and it really has like 3 or 4% status.
but even if it didnt have this issue pure dps is the best way to go as lasers can only proc per second and not per hit

So I'm aware there was a glitch that prevented punch through on weapons such as lanka and detron but this bug has been going on since the same time as the laser gun punch through bug that happened in U16.5
ALL weapons lose punch through when shot through electric shield
Can we atleast have confirmation from DE that this is a bug and not some sick joke to nerf volt to hell?

In fact that team comp is imo the best possible comp if you want to theoretically play for 7 hours (lol). It takes a lot of busy game play from the volt however in order to maintain 15+ electric shields at all times and you need to ALWAYS have a front layer of shields to protect your back layer of electric shields in order to absorb the blast radius from bombards.
