  1. Uh, that was a valid bug in the game? that's actually quite a common problem on mice with crappy sensors, it basically loses track of the surface. Usually happens during fast swipes/flicks. Very common occurrence on players with moderately low sensitivity and a regular mouse. It can also happen due to dirty mouse pad/surface. Can you post a link to the patch fix log? i'm genuinely interested as to how this is a warframe bug as it is exactly the same symptom of a bad sensor.

  2. It is set to full-screen and it just recently changed and i havn't played around with those settings in ages.

Thanks for your suggestion tho ^^ Much appriciated

Do you have an nvidia gpu? did you try the override checkbox right below the scaling option? did you try both options of display and gpu scaling?

If amd, have you tried disabling gpu scaling to let the display handle it?

Have you checked the scaling options of the monitor itself (on screen menu) to make sure image is to stretch?

  3. Well.. It helped with other things but unfortunately stuttering persisted. BUT I found the real issue by accident.

Warframe seems to leave the mousecursor in the background and that activated my rocketdock everytime I looked around. It's an application that reacts to mouseover.

I turned the rocketdock off and stuttering was just gone.

If you have stuttering too, check your desktop for any mouseover-sensitive applications, icons and things like that, and shut them down.

    Hope that helps. :)

Well... isn't this the discovery of the f*cking century. You can go ahead and change your last name to Columbus. Been having stuttering issues at 1080p since I installed warframe, always playing at a lower resolution without problems. Recently upgraded to a 980 and still had the stuttering at 1080p. Paid attention ingame and noticed it happened during hard flicks to either left right or down. Checked this thread for updates, saw your post, unloaded objectdock and... no stuttering anymore. My goodness... It does seem to be a problem with the way warframe implements mouse control, since this has never happened on cs go, or any other game for that matter.

Next question is, does the windows 8 charms bar mess with warframe? dont miss the next episode of background cursor hauntings.

  4. They can't just spell "Looking for" out? lol

It's not about spelling, is about cleanliness and ease of view. Acronyms in caps stand out better than the entire phrase so people can spot them more easily as they move fast. Also, the trade and recruit tabs are a mess. Trade with people spamming paragraphs, can't imagine how much worse it would be if everyone started typing entire sentences in there. On recruit, it would make things worse, it moves fast, but it's clean due to the nature of requests, although some people take the liberty of writing paragraphs of their reasoning behind their LF, or restrictions in their LF.

Of course it all would be fixed if we had a proper organized trade and recruit system, instead of a communal square where everyone screams their request pushing others aside, spitting, throwing lettuce in the air and tomatoes in each other's faces.

  5.      I agree, warframe's aiming mechanic is very different from cs:go's. but they're also completely different games, and with skill you can one shot people with almost any weapon in cs:go. the same cannot be said for warframe. It's apples and oranges, and our dual cestra's recoil still sucks. just because you can compare it to a realistic terrorist simulator doesn't mean it should apply to a sci-fi featuring cyborg ninjas. I never asked for more skilled gameplay and if I had, S#&$ recoil would not be my idea of a skill requirement.

Cs go is not a "realistic" terrorist simulator, you seem to be confused with call of duty or battefield in any of their 435284732423 iterations. Counter strike has never focused on realism. It's not sh*t recoil just because you can't handle it. It should apply to warframe, when people keep trash threading the forums moaning that the game is too easy, too boring, no skill, and all other sorts of similar topics, but amusing when it comes to anything that requires a tad bit of skill, then the world comes to an end (see manic, see excal rework, see marelok recoil, see akvasto/vasto recoil, see akjagara recoil and now, dual cestra recoil). You can't compensate for it, that doesn't mean the recoil is bad, you are just... not capable of controlling it, it's not even hard. Use something else, with no recoil so you can hold that fire button to your heart's content, or let me give you back that handy line you threw before, how about you use steady hands? You are the one complaining about the recoil, there's a mod for that.

Warframe is also a shooter, it should have good shooting mechanics, yeah, the gameplay between cs go and warframe is different, that does not take out the fact that warframe has rifles, shotguns and pistols that are in dire need of recoil rework to bring them out the noob mode they are in. And with the advent of pvp, noobie shooting should go, same for the aimbot melee mod. Right now, shooting is no different than spamming 4 (the current nerf meta), just click and hold, you don't even have to aim precisely, just spray that sh*t horizontally, circles or in X pattern mid air and you'll take out 20 enemies close together quickly in any map of the starchart at its default level range and even the void before level 40-50ish. There aren't even complex recoil patterns, all of them are linear, either up or slightly diagonal. But, of course, nobody suggests more skill for shooting when they create a nerf thread for their own benefit on a frame or abilities that "trivialize" the game, the mmorpg key tap and tap is strong in here. "Yeah, uh, we want more skill, let's balance the game so nerf this and that, but, no, we want super easy shooting". That's not how that mythical balance works.

Buff the dpb? maybe, so it's not that dependent on fire rate, although it can put out nice numbers in dps against ferrite and alloy right now, not like the telos, but they are nice numbers. Reduce the spool up? i'm in, maybe to that of the soma prime, it would allow people to use the weapon for some damage, instead of having to use a bump of 134% in fire rate so that it can start shooting almost right away.

  6.

Are we using the same weapons? Cause, you know, I'd tell you how tactical potato described it, but idk if DE would think its appropriate. Let's just say that the dual cestra are infamous for their S#&$ty recoil. Try them without steady hands.

Yep, same weapons. Now i tell you, try the ak in cs go, then tell me which weapon in warframe has worse recoil. Try the desert eagle in cs go then tell me how well you fare, if you are complaining about the dual cestra in this game. Liked the steady hands comment though, creative. Maybe you need to start playing games that have better shooting mechanics, then you will find aiming in warframe trivial, where you can run, jump and fly around mid air shooting with no penalty on spread whatsoever, where there is very little recoil, where you can empty an entire clip on all the rifles with 0 recoil compensation from beginning to end.

So much for wanting more "skilled" gameplay, complaining about the recoil of the dual cestra, this forum...

People complain about spam 4, but no chance in hell they would get to control recoil, no no that's too hard papi too hard.

  7. actually, just replace the ammo mutate with Split Chamber and it becomes decent. Soma's 800 round backup-ammo capacity is not that high for its fire rate, but I find it enough to use in most cases. Just exercise trigger discipline and marksmanship to increase ammo efficiency without losing effective dps.

And change the status mods for 90% mods and he is set for even more damage because soma is not a status weapon

  8. Not necessarily KracsNZ, I had an alternate build then my screenshot where I basically too out the elemental damage mods and hammer shot to make room for the max split chamber (cost 15) So I was basically running a single elemental damage version of what I had posted up and it seemed to do significantly less damage to enemies. I was using up more ammo for the same number of enemies. So with out the bonus damage of running the right elemental damage types vs. the right enemies the extra bullets from split chamber was less effective.

That's not a one to one trade off. What you did is not supposed to be done, that's why you forma weapons. You are not comparing apples to apples here. You traded two mods for split chamber, in the process, you forfeited a 1.75 multiplier on ferrite armor. Do the numbers. Your build with split chamber instead of hammer shot will put out more in expected damage per bullet(shot). Split chamber will net you more gains than hammer shot. You are supposed to forma a weapon so you don't do what you did. As you add elemental multipliers you end up still with more damage from split chamber than hammer shot.

this is what you have, after theoretically maxing everything, assuming a 33.6 multiplier on crit headshot, your expected damage per shot is 1,483.73

    4kwCEp4.png

This is what you should have compared it to, assuming a 26.4 multiplier on headshots, the critical damage is 2,220.936

These are the elemental mods you should strive to run on it, keeping that ammo mutation that shouldn't be there

  9. no i dont think it is because yesterday morning when i was playing it gave me at least 160 for grineeer kill why has it droped to 64 makes no sense while other people i am playing with are doing more than me . even the newb are doing more than me wtf is going on btw i am on earth doing extermination

It is the experience/affinity you receive per enemy. Damage numbers are not formatted like that... they are plain grayish white with critical being grayish yellow. Yesterday morning was the 24th, it was still within the double affinity period (perhaps). Read this whole please https://warframe.com/news/den-kubrow-bonus-week-two

There are also affinity boosters in the market that may show increased affinity for those that make kills with it on.

  10. well in my eyes forma are always 2 for the price of 1.. because rushing them costs 10p, so you can rush 2 for 20p. I don't think the resource costs are a problem (especially if you farm good this weekend) because you spend pretty much most of them on forma anyway.

This, rush building formas is essentially a 2 for 1 deal since it costs 10 to rush and 20 from market. They are widely available in the void as bp and are easy to build. Just rush them.

  11. Pretty sure the restart requirement is to start fresh, as in the same way you restart your phone when it bugs out, or your computer when it crashes, and then start it fresh to reduce the possibility that the error will cause more bugs. Programs can easily dump data/logs onto disk and send it to a server in the background, so there is nothing limiting them from doing this. Hell, the warframe client is constantly sending a lot of user data to keep it in sync with DE's servers. They just want you to start with a fresh client on your next mission.

  12. I already had 200+ of each rare resource because I don't spend the entire warframe gaming time in the void, instead I play the starchart. Thus, I mostly forma'd equipment and did spy missions, 2 runs for max rank on weapons, 4 minutes on average for each, boom, formas rained onto a lot of weapons, multiple times. I enjoy double affinity periods as stacked with affinity boosters lets me convert a lot of trash weapons into decent and fun quite quickly. Oh, the potatoes, yeah, potatoes everywhere.

So, why isn't it showing in the market anymore?

    I be sad, again.

  14. That's lame they didn't discount formas and wep/wf slots i would buy S#&$tons of them + potatoes

for me it would be 40 catalyst 20 reactors 100 formas

Even more disappointing is i've bought those plats just for sale.

I thought formas were included in the 2 for 1 promo, but were not mentioned in the example. I be sad.

  15. So the 33% discount is on from the event. Will login reward discounts stack on them or replace?

They don't stack. If it is a 20% discount from login, it won't replace or stack with the 33%. If it is higher, I have no idea. I assume the higher discount replaces the lower.
