  1. You get an option of rewards you haven't earned yet. You pick one, then do 50 logins to earn it. Once that's done you get the item, then pick another reward to work towards next. You are never locked out of an item permanently - all choices come from the same pool, and if you pass an item up for one 50 day period, it'll be there for you to pick next time.

  2. Not quite that low, but I am only rank 15.

Reason being that I primarily play melee, and I, for the most part, have all the melee bits I want. There's very little reason for me to grind up random primaries and secondaries I'll almost never use, and I'm happy where I'm at.

It's pretty easy for your MR to stagnate if you're satisfied with your current equipment and aren't possessed by a drive to make an effectively meaningless number bigger.

  3. At least that's what the wiki is now suggesting now that people are getting their hands on them.

Why can't these be for all melee weapons? As a primarily fist/sparring user, this update was already void enough of goals. In absence of zaws for those weapon types, Exodias were pretty much the only things I was looking forward to.

I would say that DE doesn't seem to understand the difference between the damage the enemy deals and how much damage they can take.

I still think return damage would be good, but considering the large EHP of enemies compared to their DPS, this value needs to be changed to be more than 100%.

This goes the same for that useless melee mod.

The only way I could ever see Reflection being a thing is if, as you say, the numbers were dramatically increased, and if it did Finisher damage, ignoring armor completely.

  5. Can we please get something that's not a pile of doodoo for the first unlock in the tree, please? Reflection is trash, and has been ever since it was introduced as a mechanic, and I have trouble believing that you the developers don't understand why.

    To recap:

Naramon - Melee kills grant more affinity. Useful at all levels.

Zenurik - More energy from pickups. Useful at all levels.

Vazarin - More affinity radius. Not that great, but in niche cases can have a use.

Madurai - Increased physical damage. Moderately useful at all levels as long as you have something that deals physical damage.

Unairu - Deal 25% of damage taken back to attacker. Struggles to kill even sub-level 10 enemies (which will melt by just looking at them by the point you get this node anyway), requires you to take damage to work, and scales inversely to the scaling of enemies as their effective health skyrockets far faster than their damage.

Can't this node be something like a flat armor increase, giving squishy frames a way to increase their survivability dramatically? Or an absorption effect that prevents the damage it returns, effectively acting as a 25% damage reduction buff? Because Reflection is awful.

because the changes and updates DE does is pretty different before updates... Several system change and tested to the course the game.

Seeing you as a founder, ye would agree that when the game 1st started, its now almost a completely different game...

Yeah, it's changed very significantly. That doesn't mean it's in beta.

Like, would you consider World of Warcraft in beta? Because that's changed a ton, too. What about Dota? Very much changed.

The new information age has allowed digital products to continue to evolve even after they're released to the public. It's just a part of being a game that's under active development - things will change. That doesn't mean that a game is in 'beta.'

You dont want it to end up like destiny.... If they made game changing updates they would have to abandon the current version and go with warframe 2.... The Beta tag allows them to change and evolve the current game

Are you suggesting that a game can't change and evolve without cloaking itself with the word of 'beta'?

Because that's wrong. There's no reason a game can't evolve after it's released. That is nonsense.

  8. Warframe is part of a modern breed of game that is under constant active development. I don't think the traditional labels really apply.

However, if I were pressed, I would say that you can only really judge such games by feature completeness, the presence of a cash shop, and whether or not wipes are over. Once a game is open to the public, is accepting MTs, will no longer wipe progress, and delivers on its basic concept (space ninjas flipping out shootin manz), I think it loses any right to shield itself with the protective title of 'beta.' You're indistinguishable from a released product at that point - there's no reason that it should be acceptable as a defense.

  9. The only changes I want for Ivara are:

    - a reduction in the energy build-up over time of Navigator (it's seriously absurd)

    - Pull the view on Navigator back.

    - for objects that ordinarily bounce to not do so while in Navigator mode - ie. if you clip a wall in a narrow corridor, you will merely grind against it with a shower of particle effects.

Today I got flamed for playing Hydroid as a support, getting called lazy and useless. I did explain that my low kill count comes from the fact that I play him more as a CC support, applying corrosive on lvl 80+ Grineer and healing allies with Curative Undertow (which did save people when they revived others), but apparently playing support frames is considered stupid and worthless. And there was multiple cases of this.

Made me want to ask the question: What are your thoughts about supports in Warframe? I know that the flamers are a tiny minority, but still I wanna know what people think about supports here.

    People are idiots. Move on.

Having a launch window, and not launching it in that window is a delay.

It was never a hard window. It was a target. It was explicitly stated that it could be released later than that.

I'm starting to think DE shouldn't tell people anything at all about when to expect releases. Even when they couch it in the most non-committal terms ("we're hoping to have it out by the end of September, but eeeeeh, probably won't happen"), people treat it like an absolute promise.

  12. There's some goofy stuff that gets broken in Warframe, but that's the natural result of having an abundance of powerful tools that actually matter. Like, in your example, a good reach Weapon + maximum reach riven + Primed Reach? Yeah, I'd expect that to hit a whole room.

When the alternative is reach mods with 20% max, when our build possibilities are curtailed in the pursuit of 'balance' over fun, that's gonna be the day I put Warframe behind me. If I find someone cheesing a mission and I'm not having fun in it (it's rare I see actual cheese, by the by), I leave the mission and start another. It's that simple.
