Don't forget that most of the pages are the same people arguing over and over. (Myself included.) Also don't forget that many people are happy with the packs.

Sway? Sure, but the thought that the Heirloom packs were an order from Tencent is laughable. The way it is put together and how it's handled has DEs fingerprints all over it. This is not the first "rodeo" and it won't be the last, because DE does something like this from time to time and they didn't need to be owned by Tencent to do the same in the past. Dunno about that. Tencents entire gimmick seems more like owning everything.

A little recap then. In 2014 Sumpo Food Holdings aquired a majority share of DE. In 2015 Sumpo Food Holdings was rebranded as Leyou, which as of 2016 owned the whole company - Digital Extremes. In 2020 Tencent bought Leyou with all it's subsidiaries. DE definitelly didn't have any say in it. So the reality check here is that DE is still owned by the same Leyou that owned them since 2014/15. Only difference is that Tencent now owns Leyou. When Leyou was aquiried it was publicly announced that DE will remain independent. Another reality check is that Tencent owns or has stakes in most Western and Eastern development studios. You might not even know it and love something Tencent owns. Tencent also owns: Riot Games (LoL, LoR, Valorant, Arcane) Techland (Dying light) 40% of Epic games 10% of Ubisoft 16.25% of FromSoftware (yes, that From Software) and either fully owns or partially owns a dozen other game studios that I will not bother to list here. So "Tencent owns DE = DE bad" is an argumant build on nothing and zero. It's simply a laughable attack from those who have no good arguments.

This thread will soon have 60 pages and it will continue. I would bet anything that they are actively talking about it right now and if not, it's only because the people are physically not in the office and surely will not ruin their day off with their families and loved ones. If that is the case you can be sure this major disaster will be the first thing they will discuss on Monday.

If you really think Meg can just hop on to the forum and tell us what she thinks and just decide what's going to happen next without the management even discusses the situation, you should really look into how companies are being run. Especially videogame companies. I'd urge people to read some interviews or listen to some podcasts where CMs explain how their job works. She literally isn't allowed to say anything until it's been cleared by managment and legal. That's just how it is. I am sure she would love to hop in and tell us whatever, but she LITERALLY can't.

I am not advocating for persecution of those who shame the Heirloom pack owners. Let people do whatever they want as long as it's not a crime. I fully support everyone who voices their criticism or support of DE whatever the opinion is. And I have no problem saying I find someone's opinion wrong. BUT I have a right to think that those who shame others for supporting DE are dispicable subpar human beings. Criticism is good. Harassing people you don't agree with is wrong.

We can be 100% sure Megan has nothing to do with this. She is a community director for Warframe. Unfortunatelly whenever something like his happens, it's the community managers who deal with the toxicity and have to take the abuse. Sad.

Every genocide began with ONLY badging, naming and shaming. Read a history book. That person implied that people with the acolade should be shamed and there are enough idiots in the world that will happily do that. This disgusts me.
