In the trailer for Umbra, we heard what sounded like a heart monitor and a respirator. Could it be that the Operator was injured in some way on the Zariman from the Void exposure? In my view it sounds like Ballas was talking to someone who was looking over the Operator on their deathbed. Maybe the Father or someone else. Perhaps the Operator was terminal and Ballas was asking someone if they would trade places with them so the Operator wouldn't die. "All Miracles require sacrifice" It definitely sounds like someone was terminally ill in some way and it would take a miracle to save them. Someone sacrificing their free will and consciousness to give them new bodies i.e; the Warframes.

Nope. I think it looks awful. Like something out of an old 1980s tranformers comic. I look back at the original frames today and just think how much better they look as opposed to all these new frames that look like plastic toys.

I kind of hope they make so you press a button for two seconds and you quickly jump into the air while you Archwing materialises behind you. Sort of how Destiny allows you to summon your Sparrow.

Actually they said the opposite. Steve said he was sure it would be 96% similar and also said it would have tint able gold as well. They never said anything about it having less bling, because that isn't what people wanted.

The difference is it isn't called Prime and doesn't have that badge. Other than that, it's the same and since the Chinese build is completely separate from ours, it does not matter.

It's not like Umbra is gonna remove our Excalibur Prime or, more important, the meaning it has; when you'll meet an Excalibur Umbra in game it'll mean that the player has completed the quest or whatever it's necessary to get him, when you'll meet an Excalibur Prime it'll still mean that the player is a founder of this game, that's never going to change.
Umbra doesn't affect me at all and I see no problem with that.
See now this is an example of a mature Founder. Kudos to you Sir.

The OP already knows that Umbra is different to Excal Prime. He's just trying to paint it like it isn't. So trying to show examples to someone like that isn't going to help, because he'll just continue to insist that Umbra and Excal P are "recolours of the same frame".

Seriously guys come on, don't show this salty elitist any more attention. He already knows that Umbra looks way different to Excalibur Prime (i.e; Better), he's just desperate now that he knows it's actually going to come to the global Warframe quite soon and people will stop paying him attention once it does. Just don't bother.

Like I've clarified in my first post. I am all for Umbra.Firstly, no they are not. Umbra has a different body shape and details. They both share an Excalibur theme funnily enough though.
Secondly you are very clearly not for Umbra at all since you refer to him as a mistake and a kick in the teeth. Desperately trying to say he's a repainted Excal P also doesn't give off the impression of someone who is for Umbra.
We saw many threads like these come up when Umbra was first seen. I know it may be hard for you to accept, but Umbra is coming and he will be avalaible for everyone. Just because he looks better than the Prime, doesn't give you the right to feel "betrayed". You still have your exclusive Excalibur. Suck it up and stop being so petty.

Oh great. Another Founder who thinks he can still demand special treatment. I thought we'd moved past this.
Excal Umbra was never a "mistake" that would be confined to China, we were always going to get him. Excal Umbra looks totally different to Excal Prime.
Exclusivity is an utterly anti-consumer practice by nature, so I'm glad everyone is getting the chance to grab this frame.

Snipers will actually have a purpose when the Plains of Eidolon comes out. I simply cannot wait to snipe people silly from over a hill a kilometre away.

Warframe is going places. I reckon that in maybe a year or two, each planet will have an open world where we can craft unique weapons.

4. The key is the word "miracle". What is the miracle? Wasn't that word used by Palantine during the Harrow quest? I think, as many of previously speculated, that the Umbra is an example of a Warframe where the operator has been fused into the frame itself to save the life of the operator, or to preserve its consciousness. If I understand correctly, this was the case of Rell wasn't it? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thoughts?
That's not a new Nikana. It's just the regular vanilla one.

That respirator and heart monitor sounds in the trailer were very interesting. Seems like Ballas was either in a lab or a hospital when he was talking.

And I don't see them making that money back through DLC's, I think Destiny and Destiny 2 will go down in history as two of the biggest mistakes in video games. You can spend millions of dollars on hype, but in the end, your product needs to deliver.
I suspect that most people will not be buying Destiny 2 once they hear Warframe is now finally going open world. I'd say that was the only true advantage Destiny had over WF in the first place as everyone loves to explore.
And this is just one planet. If people keep supporting DE, the whole solar system could eventually have it's own open world maps. That potential is enough to make me want to spend money on this brilliant game rather than an overfunded glorified set piece that has been cut into little $60 DLC chunks by Activision.
I don't even think marketing could help D2. Everyone is just going to look at Warframe and say "hey that open world space game is free, has a story and has gameplay that is much more fun than Destiny"
DE and Bioware have killed Destiny 2.
So um....Ballas has officially been welcomed into my nightmares.

Seriously, of all the ways I pictured Ballas this was not one of them. That oddly soothing voice from the trailers just cannot come from this....thing. Imagine waking up from the Second Dream to find this staring at you from a dark corner across the room. Just what the hell is going on with this thing?
I thought the Orokin were supposed to be beautiful DE....
