If this bug is so powerful, why do so many eido hunters run opticor?  According to this chart plasmor would easily deal even more damage without the need for crazy redcrit buffs.

Opticor has higher damage/crit and Plasmor has higher status, which is useless against Eidola + Arca Plasmor used to dissolve the Eidolon, so some players still fear that although it was fixed + Arca Plasmor has damage falloff and limited range + most players don't know this chart

You still need to take damage to even get that buff and you always run the risk of getting yourself killed.

You can usw selfdamage weapons to geht that buff Quote reliably.

Getting yourself killed with Chroma isn't that easy, since bis second ability grants a significant health or armor buff.

My Chroma is perfectly fine with a single forma. I was able to forma him to 1 hit Eidolon limbs with just a single forma. I do not know why sticking one forma in Chroma is hard.

I put 5 or 6 forma in my Chroma, to be able to use a better Aura and an Exilus Mod, so that was kinda hard.

Chroma requires you to do a quest, junction quests, and build the separate frame parts. Chroma needs to have 6 parts built to complete him.

You have to do the junctions to progress through the game, so those are no extra effort.

I totally forgot you needed other warframe parts to build chroma:crylaugh:

The actual mod cost to achieve it is a lot. The weapon is expensive, and the frame is expensive.

Chroma is not an easy frame to obtain. Can we not just leave him good?

The frame is easy to aquire (through quest and junctions), but hard to forma, but if you consider that a sufficient reason not to nerf him, tonkor shouldn't have been nerfed either, because you needed a lot of formas to make the weapon great.

I will not accept this point. Hydroid gets 1 loot per enemy (as far as I know). Nekros gets 1 loot per body part (currently, it has been changed a few times).

That means, my Hydroid will get 2 drops from an enemy. I cut my enemies into 6 pieces though. So Nekros gets 7 drops. So, in theory, Nekros produces 3 times the loot (I consider that out classed).

Hydroid has 100% chance to create extra loot, while Nekros "only" has a chance 54% chance per body part. A body will not always be cut in 6 pieces, 2 to 4 pieces are far more likely, so that's an average of 3 pieces with a 54% chance to spawn loot, giving approximately 1.5 extra drops. So Nekros produces 2.5-3 drops per kill, which is like 1.25-1.5 times the loot of Hydroid (You could still consider that outclassed, but to me that's negligible)

If you want loot, you take Loot Manipulation frames (Nekros is the best, it gets more loot per minute than others, by a lot).

Large AoE damage - Ember seems to be the best (ease of use etc). I really hope the "nerf Ember WoF" and "Nerf Chroma" threads have the same outcomes.

AoE Heal, Energy Restore - Trinity.

Need I name more? (No, do not nerf these too)

Loot-Hydroid, not as effective as Nekros, but pretty close in lower level missions

Large AoE damage-Equinox (as good as Ember), Banshee, Saryn, Mesa (more damage, but immobile)

    AoE Heal-Oberon(+ maybe Phoenix Renewal)

Energy- Harrow has an ability to generate Energy, but is outclassed by Trinity, so I'll give you that one. But that has been a feature only trinity had for a long time. Unlike buffing which is something many frames can do. And all of them are outclassed by Chroma.

So there is no need to nerf your given examples.

After reading this, I already became aware for him to reach that kind of damage a lot of preparations need to be done and with the help of other players. I would agree to tone down the damage if, and only if, it was solely Chroma himself that achieve that damage. Unlike Tonkor and Synoid Simulor that were OP no matter which frame you gave it to. So in short: no, Chroma doesn't need to be toned down.

The article states that Chroma alone can reach a x429.5 dmg multiplier, if the base damage of your weapon is a combo element, without any outside help like equinox or nidus.

Against Ediolons though, I use Ice Chroma. Ice is best for that task; and, the optimal build matters. Hey, we need to collect thousands of cores and shards. Eidolon kills are the best/only way to do this. Why not use the easiest way to reduce the time it takes? If DE did not want us to use Ice Chroma (or other buffs) they would not have made the Eidolon fights so important.

I like having easy ways, but I dislike having one way that is significantly better than all other ways.

  9. Chromas damage buff is just too insane. He can reach a x7 multiplier without a problem, which is crazy compared to other buff abilities. This plus his unmatched survivability (ok, Inaros and Nidus are quite tanky too) just make him the one best frame against Eidola. Although I generally dislike calling for a nerf, I think the damage buff should be toned down a bit.

    Sidenote:

I don't know if this is still a thing and I don't think it's intended, but as it could be relevant I thought I should add it.

  10. 3) I believe they are no storage rooms, but rather entrances to a tunnel system, which hasn't been added yet.

    7) I think your solution would be an overkill. Guaranteed intact cores OR more standing per core would be nice, but people should still have to work for standing.

    9) That could actually be intentional. DE wants us to experiment around to find out what works and what not.

  11. Just get your hands on the Scourge and see whether you enjoy it or not. If you like the weapon keep the riven, otherwise sell it. Should you decide to sell the riven there are basically two options, either you sell it unrolled (as it is now) or with perfect rolls (+Damage,+Multishot,+Status,-something).

Also when you use kuva to "roll" rivens does it give you a chance for the same stuff but better stats or is it completely randomized at all times

It is completely randomized each time you roll it, so there is a chance for the same stuff but better, but it's highly unlikely. Most likely you will get completely different stats.

to get decent mods that I dont have, I need to make the higher levels.

Corrupted and Primed mods should be "decent" enough. Corrupted mods are obtained in level 25-35 (or something like this) missions in the derelict and primed mods can be bought from Baro KiTeer for ducats (you just have to wait for him to bring them), so you dont have to play the really high level stuff to get great mods. Sorties (and Kuva Floods) are the only real high level missions and the only thing they give you are riven mods, which you dont really need for a decent build.

  13. 1 hour ago, Skethoegen said:

I have run a couple of Sorties but I cant perform so much (about 10-15% of team damage) and its frustrating.

What frames are you playing? Maybe you just don't use damage frames, therefore other people will outdamage you.

Sometimes damage isn't all that important. You can run spy or rescue without a single kill or run heavy CC frames, like Banshee or Stasis Limbo, on Mobile Defense or Interception. You would still contribute something important to the mission, while only dealing 10% or less of team damage.

all rivens are released for their weapon families, aka a riven for weapon x can also be equipped on weapon x (wraith, vandal, dex, prime, synidcate, etc)

You forgot one exception: Dex Dakra. Dex Dakra has its own melee rivens, for obvious reasons.

Reason for this is to have enough room for primes in relics, so its not needed to make more.

It's always needed to make more relics, cause the rewards of a specific relic does never change. Therefore every new prime has new relics.
