Well once again community feedback and knee jerk reactions gimp another frame. Maybe instead of screeching like harpies we let the developers do their job, they know what they're doing.....we don't.

I'm pretty sure the community knows what the community wants. That's also why the forum has a feedback category.

3 trios every 100 minutes is leagues better than 1 trial every 24 hours.

That is 100% correct, but has nothing to do with my point. When the Tridolon was New i didn't want to play anything else, but that meant, I couldn't play 2/3 of the time.

I feel like it's a system designed to control or encourage player play habits

Because it is. Every game tries to make you play the game as much as possible, especally free 2 play ones, as a player who plays more is more likely to spend money.

I hope that whatever comes in that replaces trials won't be daily locked

Eidolons are the new trials and they are focus farmable, although I really dislike the fact, that you have to wait 100 mins after every night.

Edit: I would like to see another system of riven aquisition too and I actually made a forum post about it a while ago. It basicly proposed rivens as a reward in endless mission after 2 hours (for survival and equally hard milestones for def and intercept) , making them farmable, but not easy to aquire

Kuva clouds take 30 seconds to spawn, so at the very least you'd be taking 2 minutes to get the siphon done if you do everything perfectly

I'm not exactly sure about the numbers, but I'm pretty sure a siphon takes less than 120 seconds total, as I sometimes experienced my smeeta activating her charm (120 sec duration) and me getting double kuva although I found the siphon only after the buff activated.

It's as simple as bringing Limbo into the game but different strokes for different folks

Yeah I don't really like Limbo or CC frames in general in survival, as they often reduce your kills per seconds, by slowing down the enemies that walk towards you. If it's a low range Limbo, I'm kinda ok with that, but he probably won't be contributing to team damage and kills all that much, as he is rather squishy and can't effectivenly kill enemies from inside the rift. Frost, Gara and Volt are preferable alternatives for me, but as I intially said: without one of them it's really hard. Whereas siphons can be done quite fast with most frames.

Siphoning process on its own takes 60 seconds regardless of level.

Sorry for not expressing myself in an understandable way. I meant the regular Kuva Siphons in the Siphon mission not in the Survival.

Same applies to failure due to incompetence in Kuva Siphon and Kuva Flood missions, your point?

To me, completing Siphons flawlessly is far easier than protecting the Kuva towers in survival, which means the chance of failure in survival is higher.

often times the siphon alone takes around 2-3 minutes

Siphons take about 100 seconds if you don't mess up, which i rarely do. Therefore all Siphons except survival and mobdef can be done Mord efficiently than survival

The player is guaranteed 200 kuva every 90 seconds in Kuva survival

When enemies hit level 100 and you have no defensive frame in the squad, the Kuva is in no way guaranteed.

The devs already said that the kuva survival  is meant to be above a normal siphon and under the flood.

i don't know why you and many others are even trying.

    1. Because it isn't more efficient than a siphon.

    2. Because we need more Kuva.

    3. Because we want to be rewarded for increased effort

  8. Kuva Survival was added to the game and I was really overjoyed by the news of a new way to aquire Kuva, as I really burned out on Kuva Siphons. But it just doesn't feel rewarding enough for me. I gain more by running just Siphons (Kuva gained per mission time [including loading sceens],  not Kuva gained per hour or something like that).

    Current State

At the moment Kuva survival is slightly less rewarding than running Kuva siphons (preferrably the faster mission types) as I need 4:30 to gain 600 Kuva, whereas the time required for a siphon is closer to 4 mins for approximately the same gain. Running Kuva floods is of course unchallenged by the survival, although both challenge you with high level enemies (survival reaches level 100 at the 40 min mark I believe), which is why I think the rewards for the survival should scale with enemy difficuly to a certain extent.

What I would like to see

First things first: the starting amount should remain the same as there are people who like to play the survival mission, but don't have an hour or two to spare. Therefore 200 Kuva for the first 20 mins is ok. 20 mins are fairly easy, so no need to increase rewards up to this point.

The next marker for me would be the 40 min mark/ level 100 enemies: With enemies just as strong as those in a Kuva flood the kuva gain should be twice as much as the regular starting amount, so 400. The efficiency is sill a little lower than Kuva Floods, but the repeatablity makes up for it.

At the 60 min mark the kuva ammount should increase to 500. Enemies are getting really tough and fighting them should be rewarded, but 500 Kuva is where I would set a ceiling to the scaling. A bit more rewarding than Kuva floods, but you have to wait an hour to achieve that effectivity.

  9. I like the basic idea, but I don't know if that wouldn't be too strong, using your current numbers. The affected area would change from length x width to 2π(0,6 x length)². At max range, one could probably cover a huge area.

  10. Should the next prime frame be Limbo the weapons will probably be insane, since DE can't sell a lot of prime accesses with Limbo as incentive. Just like Zephyr, a really unpopular frame, came with Tiberon Prime, which is an amazing weapon with three fire modes as well as the prime couterpart of a weapon with quite a fanbase. Chroma would probably come with more mediocre weapons, since he is widely played and would therefor sell the PA. My guess would be for Limbo: Akjagara Prime (with far stronger stats then the regular one) and Tonbo Prime. For Chroma I would guess: Jaw Sword Prime and (Ak)Magnus Prime or Zhuge Prime.

After that it can cap out the scaling; people have the option of going longer but they shouldn't need extra encouragement at that point. They'll already be operating at above-siphon efficiency so long as they can keep up. I also don't think it would be good to encourage players to stay absurdly long.

If they cap out the scaling, the spawnrate of lifesupport capsules will still slow down and the kuva gain will therefore be reduced over time. That's why the scaling should be slow but steady and uncapped.
