  1. I would totally buy this one, is really awesome... regarding the concerns some people have, I'm sure [DE] not simply "reject" something, they also provide help and guidance when there is potential for a piece to become awesome and a worthy addition to the game :community:

Two of the combos in the Crushing Ruin stance for hammers consume all the charges of the "Slam Capacitor" buff on the Arca Titron on the last hit of the combo. The combos are "Shattered Village", which is the pause combo, and Raging Whirlwind, which is the right click combo. The buff should only apply and be consumed on slam attacks, and not on normal melee combo usage.

But those attacks end with a slam... and the capacitor discharges on slam attacks... so it is working as intended, this is not a bug report!

To add to this, what about Chroma? He can change elements based on his energy colour. Or Excalibur with the Chromatic Bladed augment.

    Where does it end?

Furthermore, the OP is not simply asking for resistance but for immunity, such as Atlas' immunity to knockdown effects while on ground (or even like Inaros' Negation Swarm -even when that's not actual immunity- or standing at Oberon's Hallowed Ground), imagine that!

But it doesn't really matter if they're made of the element or not. Sub-Zero is a human but he isn't made of ice yet he isn't affected by it. So to have are elemental warframes get affected by the very element there are able to control is unsatisfying.

Sub-Zero is a Cryomancer (same as Bi-Han, Ice & Frost [Mortal Kombat´s Frost]), but once again, we can not extrapolate rules from one universe to the other, even when Teshin looks similar to Lord Raiden. he is not :]

Maybe there's a language barrier, because where I'm from, that means Volt is able to create and use electricity. It does not mean Volt is electricity.

"By channeling moisture and vapor in the surrounding environment"

Same thing. He can control frost. He is not frost. Well, he is Frost, but he's not made of frost. He's still made of Shields and Flesh.

Exactly, in the argument offered by the OP, comparing the attack of a Wizard "blasting a fire elemental with fire" thus rendering the Wizard's attack noneffective, the situation is this: in D&D an Elemental is a being PURELY composed of one of the four classical elements, hence their immunity or high resistance to such element... So the offered argument even when true within its own universe, it's not appropriate for the discussion as originally proposed.

Warframe are the Lens that focus void energy into something else. Operators just pump void energy in and a frame changes it into powers that manifest as various effects we see.

Allow me to elaborate: the LRAD 500X is a device in which we "just pump" electric energy, the device "changes it into powers that manifest as various effects we see" (namely a sound wave that inflicts harm) yet we call that device a Sonic Weapon and not an Electric Weapon (Long Range Acoustic Device, to be more precise); mutatis mutandis, it would be correct to say that a Warframe is harnessing certain element (as attested in the Codex' entries) even when receiving its capability to do it from Void Energy "pumped" into the device by the operator.

Because they don't harness the elements. They harness void energy and make it behave as elements.

Nahh, they do harness the elements, they just don't become the element:

"A master of the deadly elements, Chroma can alter his damage output by changing his energy color." Chroma

"Rising from the ocean depths, Hydroid harnesses the power of water to a devastating effect."Hydroid

"By channeling moisture and vapor in the surrounding environment, Frost creates formidable defenses and lethal attacks from sub zero conditions."  Frost

"Ember is a nightmare for light-armored targets. Ember can super-heat the air which opens up surprising crowd-control possibilities." Ember

"With full command of surrounding magnetic energy, Mag is an expert at enemy manipulation." Mag

"Nova uses electromagnetic energy to contain and control highly volatile antimatter that fuels her abilities" Nova

"Volt can create and harness electrical elements. This is a high-damage Warframe perfect for players looking for a potent alternative to gunplay." Volt

    Balance *is* logic.

Software is nothing but a long series of logical and mathematic operations.

    Exactly.

The game's universe (that "long series of logical and mathematic[al] operations") define a set of rules under which balance indeed equals logic (in that sense). Furthermore, if we allow ourselves to follow the mathematical universe hypothesis (MUH) as proposed by Tegmark the real world is simply mathematics, more specifically: "physical reality is a mathematical structure", so all what we estimate as "logic" or "illogical" (in contrast) is due to its adequacy or inadequacy to the underlying mathematical structure forming reality. Hence "balance" DOES NOT ">" "logic". :]

  10. What "logic" are we talking about here? How comes "it is logic" that Saryn should be immune to toxin/viral? Then, Nekros should be immune to death?... In the real world (for example) the electric eel (Electrophorus electricus) is resistant but not immune to electricity (we all are, we have resistance thresholds for elements such as electricity, heat, cold, toxins, viruses), another good example is the oriental hornet (Vespa orientalis) that uses electricity (actually transforming solar energy into electricity which is super cool and fascinating in my opinion!) yet it is not immune to electricity damage... so following the so called "logic" of this thread, nature is quite illogical!

Still no fix for heads and all attachments/dangly bits disappearing off a Warframe randomly after being stealthed by a companion.

This also happens after being invisible as result of Shadow Step under the Naramon School :]

You do understand that the Corpus tried to reverse engineer Gersemi Valkyr to be as much like the Orokin version as their tech would allow, right?

People with this argument want to utterly dismiss that Gersemi might be the product of Tenno limitations and artistry, and that "Corpus" Valkyr may be the altered Tenno Blueprint with the Gersemi cosmetics stripped to "Bare Bones" and applied to Zanuka (not a coincidence) so that they could try and recreate her in the image of their Orokin Gods to the extent that Corpus Tech allowed.

Retcon or not, it makes sense as at least possible.

Nidus seems like an alt-strain (let's call it the Helminth Strain) Prototype to me that is resistance to the control that the standard Hive-minded Infestation exerts on everything it infects.  It may be a Tenno-DNA/infestation hybrid.

The Rhino Codex certainly points to the sleeping Tenno creating a type of Hive-mind Nullifier bubble or calming influence.  The question is "How?" And "Why?"

So Nidus is much like a wolf.  Dangerous and untamed yet loyal to the Helminth pack.

I believe Warframe "armor" is as much about containment as it is mass production and protection.

I've always held the belief that one of our dark secrets is that Warframes are potential carriers; they are not only harbingers of death but vectors of infection and corruption when wounded.

So taming, weaponizing, and mass-producing  the wolf along with minimizing it's ability to spread led to Orokinized Primes.

    Nidus--->Excaliber----->all other Warframes.

    XO

I love these hypotheses (Valkyr & Nidus), not that I agree 100% but I do love them =^D

    It's exciting :community:
