I don't have it, but from what I've read, it's not you: the intrinsic is inherently* dysfunctional.
* I was gonna use "intrinsically," but I stopped myself.

Maybe Powerfist slams are supposed to be threats now.

Just out of curiosity, do you think they are working on a fix, re-vamp, or retraction, or a very well worded politically correct explanation?
With changes as significant as these, I wouldn't expect any of that except maybe the last one. Rollback and reversions aren't usually their style; at best it's small tweaks. Once they have an idea in their teeth they have real trouble letting go of it.

I'm just using the same stuff I used before: crit / heat / viral. Nothing feels any different.
-
After playing a bit today, nothing feels different. but again—I don’t use the weapons or arcanes that changed most.
I did fail a sortie spy vault because if you get knocked down by lasers you stay down until you actively get up, and I sat there wondering what was happening for too long. That’s was pretty much the worst thing to happen.

makes me just think it simply was for ease of quick coding benefit not really players , aka all inheriting base duration directly from a root setup
That is also not a bad reason or poor goal for the devs to pursue.

Even if you were able to, players would balk at such drastic changes. It's like the Bramma nerf. If they'd just gone ahead and done it, there would've been a riot. So they nerfed all AoE weapons, then buffed everything except the Bramma (and Corinth, for some reason).
Yes the thing about this community - the forum posters, at least - is that people will clamor for difficulty and fixes and balance and improvements but there’s a rule: the costs of those changes can never be paid by the player.
IOW, the player side of the game is sacred, and the only changes permitted there are outright improvements. Trade-offs, sidegrades, and (god forbid) nerfs are unacceptable.

The fate of many such games. How long can you do the same thing (and sometimes the same thing, but wearing a new hat) before you need a break?
Personally I’m finding, after thousands of hours, that WF has become best in small bits — run a couple missions, fiddle with a build, then sign out. 10-15 minutes at any one time. No more long grind sessions.
-
Endurance runs always seemed like something that didn’t need to be done—you have all the variables, you make the build, do the math, and you can pinpoint where your tank will stop tanking and your damage will no longer work.
Then you say aha, and do something else.
Edit: and as far as bullet sponge=difficulty, I remember a lot of people thought the original Wolf was a sublime work of challenging genius, and rent their shirts over “casualization” when DE toned him down (all while condescending to anyone who couldn’t drop him in a few shots)

Your investment will die if the game dies, you know.
What I get from the OP is that the fun derived from the game is more and more tempered with the nagging thought of "This is cool! Shame it won't last." Everyone wants their time respected, even the people who claim to trust nobody and believe nothing and have zero expectations (frankly, I don't believe they possess the inhuman stoicism that would require anyway, but everyone on the internet is a badass).
If the game dies, that's how things go -- but it's not up to the OP (or any of us) to endure things we don't like in order to keep Warframe going in the hopes that it'll become something we like again.

How are status effects supposed to help with Eidolons then they are flat out immune to status effects?

I played for about 10 minutes today after updating; I was going to test out my weapons and stuff and then realized I just wasn't in the mood, so I ran Maroo's ayatan mission and then signed out. I think I'll wait until a few hotfixes are under the belt on this update and see what they do with all the feedback being given before I make any commitment as far as changing things or altering my loadouts.
In theory, it will affect me very little - I might farm a lich or two to change the base element on some guns given the new status changes, I prefer assault rifles so all this stagger foolishness will be rare, I'll have to switch to Heat/Viral or Slash/Viral instead of Corrosive+Whatever, and I don't use the Big Kid arcanes, so as long as any rank 3 still gives an extra revive that's all that matters for me.
Oh, there was one nice thing - I got a 5 million credit rebate back for my Railjack, which, y'know, I ain't gonna cry about.

Shields only really hinder people who aim and shoot. These guys are going to go down in droves to all the AoE/wave clearing abilities that everyone uses.
This made me laugh. It's so Warframe: "Aiming is not a recommended strat."

Ergo, swap viral with puncture as I mention here:
It would also make it compete a lot better against slash as it is a lot easier to build slash + current viral than puncture (Swapped with viral) + slash.
Ah, yep, missed that post. Easier than building new mechanics -- just swap 'em (like swapping Impact and Blast).

The problem with punch-through as a proc is that you'd need either a completely different and separate status effect for melee puncture, or melee puncture effectively gets no status effect. There's also the can of worms of what gunblade puncture procs would do.
I mentioned this in another thread; I think Puncture - drilling holes in the enemy with high-velocity objects - should have a chance to enhance crits (either stacking as you stack procs, or fixed chance with renewable durations, or something). You've dealt the deep wound, it should be wreaking some havoc with the internal bits.
I realize that can get out of hand fast so the chance would probably need to be tuned small and dialed in. Perhaps it could enhance crits for the whole squad, even.

My opinion, DE just popped a massive squat on the energize grind. It is what it is. Gonna go ahead a sell all my energize now. And if it gets buffed in the future maybe buy it back super cheap then. 🤷
I'll take 'em. 10 plat for the lot. 😉

Please check Nova's Antimatter Drop.
With the new changes, this ability became almost useless. It was powerful against lvl 80 enemies, now it barely drains 5% of their health.
Is it being neutered by shield gating? Because that would suck. Powers should ignore gating.

Oh, yeah, total thought-experiment/pipe-dream. In truth, it always goes like this: we get mad, then we get over it.
On the other hand, with some of the genuinely questionable changes in the update, they may find their stats demonstrate a sort of passive "boycotting" of certain things because they're just a pain in the behind (like all the weapons that now have stagger effects, or weapons that got hit hard by the status changes -- use numbers may drop noticeably).
-
Well, we could try to get DE to change things by trying to out-stubborn them: don't farm more arcanes, don't upgrade existing ones to R5, don't do Scarlet Spear (just play other things in the game, but pointedly avoid their new event; or do it but pointedly refuse to buy arcanes). See who breaks first.
(Note: this will not happen, but it's an interesting thought)

But does it take into consideration of it having a 40% or more chance of not even engaging?
No idea, it was just a single data point from a poster about the cooldown time.
-
I found an estimate (based I guess on testing) suggesting it's like a 14-15 second cooldown. But without official word, that's just based on the short time it's been available to test.

So can anyone actually answer the OP's question?

Why I dont play Warframe anymore
in General
Posted · Edited by Ham_Grenabe
I don't because when knocked down, my warframe won't automatically get up by itself anymore.
Edit: yes, it's absolutely a tiny thing. Sometimes that's all it takes.
