So because zombies took inspiration from vampires that makes them vampires? And because zombies and eidolons are undead that makes Eidolons vampires? Because that sure sounds like what you’re trying to argue here. Again, none of this inspiration BS matters because it was all put on the WRONG F****ing FRAME! Within the lore of Warframe there is absolutely NOTHING that suggests he should have vampire powers. The Eidolons are not written to be vampires. So why tf are there vampire powers on a frame that has nothing to do with them? If you have to create 50 degrees of connections in order to reach a justification for the vampire theme you haven’t found a justification.

If you don’t want the ability to be effective past a certain range then why give it that range at all and nerf it’s damage past a certain range? Just reduce its range and give the AOE 100% of its damage across the entire range, right? Like AOE on guns I understand because you want to promote being accurate. But Warframes are not guns. They aren’t shooting out these AOE’s. They’re coming directly from the frame.

It should just scale up per hit and count as a melee to synergize with her other abilities. Also removing the falloff from her AOE.

I said this countless times when she was released. Ulfruns Descent NEEDS/HAS TO/ WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY WITHOUT scale on hit. And that hit counting the whole AOE as well. It’s very similar in its “limited amount of attacks” as Proteas 2. And that ability scales on hit and is amazing. But for some reason they decided that Vorunas key damage ability doesn’t deserve that and shouldn’t syngergize with the rest of her kit.

Yeah I don’t get it either. I even flavored it so that he pulls chunks of Eidolon flesh from their pocket dimension to form a canon around his arm. I gave it 3 firing modes based off attacks the Tridolons do. But the general response was “That’s dumb, you should make the Vomvalysts (that my rework had him summon) twirl around him and fire lasers.”

At no point is it stated that the Eidolons crave blood. The Eidolon Teralyst is also passive unless you attack it. Do you know what else is disfigured? Zombies in general. And if we’re going of the original Dracula style vampire that Rev’s vampire abilities are based off of. Dracula wasn’t disfigured into that book. He looked like a normal dude. You’re literally making crap up at this point. I pitched an exalted arm canon in my rework for him and got s*** on by everyone for it.

Because what’s the point of the Eidolon angle if it’s not going to be used in the ability design? His 1 actually Eidolon themed ability was a complete afterthought. What I never understood was your “He is undead therefor he is a vampire” logic. Which is why I’ve stopped entertaining your replies. Because you consistently make zero sense.

Rebecca literally just ignored the Eidolon theme entirely and made vampire powers because she likes vampires. Reimagining things to the point where you’ve completely lost the plot and aren’t even making theme appropriate abilities for the frame should be an obvious sign that you’re not doing your job correctly.

He got dragged into the Eidolons pocket dimension where they tried to rebuild themselves off of him. How tf did you take what was clearly stated as “poetic description of just dying”. Ok then. Name other undead, non-sentients that have turned into Eidolons.

The Eidolon sentients have a list of abilities both shown by them and described in lore. The Teralyst happens to be the biggest example of them. Tho the Ropalolyst was originally intended to be another Eidolon fight suggesting that there’s more Eidolons than Terry, Gary, and Harry and the Vomvalysts. Also, Lotus becoming an Eidolon showcases that only Sentients can become Eidolons. Meaning Revenant would’ve had to have been turned sentient. Which means he should have more sentient like powers. Not Vampire themed powers.

Revenant has an actual in lore connection to a specific faction of specific powers. Voruna started with the question of a werewolf frame with a transformation. Neither frame has any connection to either of those things in their abilities. IDK why that’s so hard to understand. Instead you’d much rather go off on a whole philosophy tangent about “What really is an Eidolon or Werewolf” and “themes are only vague guidelines that should be interpreted in direct contradiction to the theme itself”. Is it really so much of a sin to ask that the Eidolon Warframe have powers that reflect the Eidolon sentients of the plains of Eidolon within the game of Warframe, and not some mystically bloodsucker from a 100 year old book? And is it really too much to ask for DE to not pull a 180 on a theme that they hyped up and then just not deliver on? Seriously, you people make me feel like I’m some test subject in gaslighting experiments.

Well you know those complaints happen to pop up when DE announces a certain type of frame and then immediately shows that frame with non-theme centric abilities. Seriously, you people are adamant on making up vague connections between vampires and Eidolons instead of just acknowledging that Revenant shouldn’t have a vampire theme. When you fight the Eidolons they aren’t turning into bats and smoke trying to suck your blood. So why tf is Revenant doing those things?

Just because something is undead does not automatically make it a vampire.

I know 100% the original Dracula didn’t go around fusing his environment to himself to try and repair himself. I know Dracula didn’t open up rifts to a pocket dimension. I know Dracula didn’t fire out lasers. So the question is. Why is something that is very much not Eidolon related ON THE EIDOLON FRAME!? A furry can be Viking, dude. Pretty sure deviant art has loads of that art floating around.

Wolves stand on 4 legs. Valkyr’s 4 is an exalted weapon. Not a melee buff.

The conversation started with a suggestion of a werewolf transformation. That was dropped in favor of generic melee buff the Warframe. Everything about Revenant revolves around Eidolons. His aesthetic, his backstory, his accessories and weapons. Everything except his powers. Even your Valkyr argument doesn’t mean anything. Valkyr is a berserker/ cat. Cats have claws and are agile. Valkyr has claws an her zip line thing to move around. Eidolons have in lore abilities that were completely ignored in favor of making Revevant a vampire. The themes of berserker and cat have no established lore of what they do specifically within Warframe. What Rebecca did to Revenant was the equivalent of going “Here’s Ember the fire Warframe”. And then making all her abilities ice themed.

They literally put an anime magical girl frame into the game. A werewolf isn’t nearly as campy as that.

Actually this was just a random rant thread I decided to make. I didn’t expect it to take off into an actual debate. When DE puts up a poll containing the question “Do you want a werewolf frame”. It should go without question that they’re planning on making a werewolf frame. You don’t usually expect them to back out of something that was literally decided by community vote.

His initial concept art was Eidolon frame. Rebecca put vampire powers on him. It was a terrible idea. They tried back pedaling before release and it just wasn’t remotely enough. 3/4 of his abilities are firmly vampire themed mechanically. The wolf spirits thing could’ve still worked if we atleast got a werewolf transformation ability.

For them to be good and have a kit that adheres to their theme.

If DE wasn’t interested they wouldn’t have made a poll question on if we wanted one. If not that would literally mean they asked for feedback specifically so they could completely ignore it.

Literally the only thing they’d have to do is take how Sev works, and make the initial frame disappear upon ability cast. There would be some extra work on top of that. But that would be the bare minimum of what would need to be done for it to work. Titanias razorwing is literally just a model shrink and Archwing equip.

You lost me at Nidus. The goal is Werewolf frame, not infested quadruped frame.
