Well that's doesn't really much applied to me

Small gain? Are you sure you understand why they did it? I'm thinking that you don't understand how spending major time on an improvement to the underlying code, can help speed many future projects along.

Well yeah, UI changes is nice at all, but that's not much of improvement on content, like I said people won't return to the game just because an UI have been improved

Bigger than not having them, I figure. Or is a lack of support something to be proud of? And for a game that's been around for so long, what was the keep back coming to consoles? Maybe because like every other developers, they had limited resources and time to get everything done?

Because of the game language was based on how much players that use that language, for example I speak Indonesian but I am 1% percentage of the playerbase who use it, so It doesn't really worth the time. They will only do it if there high demand for the language, if there's high demand they will work on it.

Probably due to the reason the game was working well around in window at the time, since Xbox one was based on window, so it they really face that much issue. At least thats what is based on this interview

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/gamingbolt.com/path-of-exile-dev-explains-why-the-game-is-not-coming-on-the-ps4-xbox-ones-esram-didnt-posed-many-issues/amp

Yeah that is not really comparable, sort of like apples and oranges. Also the Dunning-Kruger again.

That's not how they work, just their types.

Well you said programming the content,

PoE programming is back and forwards

While Warframe most of it straight foward

Yup read it again and I would say the exact same thing. If you don't understand why, maybe go over it again?

Yup, just shows the lack of grasping the concept. Reworking the code and UI is in no way a small piece of work. And while I get that putting down the content seems like a cool thing, that cool people do, but it's really pretty bogus. And when you look at the updates, you realise that the "drought" never really existed.

Oh pretty simple really. I just want to check how many languages and platforms your "great example of a game" supports as compared to warframe. Doesn't even seem to be available on ps4 yet? After all that time?

Not complexity for the player to grasp. Complexity of the programming of the game itself. You know, the part that determines how easy it is to add more content. The part that determines how much work is required.

Hope that clears it up for you.

Well I guess you don't really words that well

Reworking code and UI is not at easy at all, but that's small gain, nbody gonna return to the game If it just UI changes. Yeah small update that took more than 4 or 5 to come. Hey did you know that even the devs  admitted that content drought was REAL.

6, why is it even matter that a game has different languages, are you going to tell me that having mutiple language is a big accomplishment. The game is coming out on ps4 on February

Any kind of game programming is hard, but if we're talking of much work of the programming, then I would say it's PoE, becaus update in PoE work differently than Warframe, you see the game actually work like this. Every 3 month they release a new league (which is new content) old league such as the incursion, delve or abyssal will be available in the game when you reach a certain act. They reprogram the masters from each league, the master are NPC that you can get for your hideout, each expansion has different master, as they will reprogram the NPC to become an enemy for a certain league. As far the programming the mechanic, I wouldn't be explaining it.

As how update work in warframe is usually either a new game mode, warframes, weapons, quest, mods, an open world, syndicates, new mechanic like melee 3.0 that is coming up.

Funny, you just explained that DE works on multiple things at the same time, but then tried to claim that Sacrifice is the only product of a year's work? Did that make sense when you wrote it out?

Pretending that the overhaul of the code and UI didn't happen at the same time as Sacrifice? Ignoring Fortuna and all associated novel mechanics, which came out 'shortly' after?

Here's a suggestion, go check out the notes for the builds and patches of everything added in 2018 and then make the statement "here's what we waited a year for".

Regarding your Path of Exile, uh... I don't know if you realise, but for a game roughly as old as warframe, there's a world of difference. What's your native language? Does the game support it? What's your gaming platform? Is that even an option for someone like me? Is the game even remotely similar in terms of the actual complexity (of the actual code required not your story or skill tree)? Is adding content to it the same as adding content to warframe?

Don't get me wrong, it's great that you like it. But apples and oranges.

Did I said that the sacrifice was in the only product that DE made, it's funny, I didn't even say that to begin with, here I can copy paste of what I said to begin with

"because the they focus one big update at a time. DE doesn't focus at a single objective, they focused at mutiple ones, this led to delays, and the game become content drought"

    try reading again

and regarding of what we get this is year, every update  is small not to mention it took like 4 months or more for each update, all we get is 2 new modes, and 3 warframes and a few quest , the amount weapon we got is okay, but the content we get for each update small. Also fortuna? Was hyped as well, fortuna is PoE 2.0 with snow

not to mention the sacrifice was supposed to a big update that DE keep hyping that we waited for a year, and just to get this small update. If they're focusing at mutiple content, and this content was this small. You know what it means? It means it shouldn't have took a year to complete, because if the story can be completed in 1 hour and half, it shouldn't took a year even though they are working mutiple content that is so small to begin with.

wow I wonder what gaming platform I am playing Warframe exactly, anyway Indonesian, but why asking a question about a topic that is not even related. Complexity? Warframe is not even complicated to begin with, the reason why new player leaves because the game never really bothered or explain anything of what you can get stuff in Warframe, not to mention the store front as well is of one the reason as well, putting prime access, and other paid stuff in front of the store page discourage others of getting the item because they never informed that you can get this items for free. PoE definitely beats Warframe when it complexity, go take a look at the skill tree in PoE, and try to compare in Warframe weapon or frame build.

    Fair enough.

Now how about admitting that creating new content takes a lot more time than "conquering" it? Or that it will involve very costly false starts, where you spend the time and effort but it doesn't make the impact you'd hoped? Or that no matter how much content you add there's always going to be a subset of players who express discontent?

I can give you example of a game that is able to release big update very 3 months, Path of Exile, you incursion, delve, then betrayal.

But here is the thing why is this game is able to sustain it content, because the they focus one big update at a time. DE doesn't focus at a single objective, they focused at mutiple ones, this led to delays, and the game become content drought. You want to know a good example of an update that took a year to develop, the sacrifice and just to get what a frame that has boosted and has no different abilities whatsoever.

Yeah you know why, because the content update is abbysmal and badly excuted, go take look at the sacrifice and tell me this. What is it for a whole a year of waiting. Ni

  5. After hearing the archgun riven that has been confirmed in stream, my mind wasn blown, and it hurts so much cause I have always despise riven cause there is many frocking RNG packed in it. This not like Path of Exile, Path of Exile have mutiple of making sure you will get the roll you want, delve give us a fossil that furantee the chance of the roll we want, crafting give the equipment a guranteed buff resources. But rivens.....

There's nothing to decrease the chance of getting -100% damage +100%zoom +50%fire rate

Personally I would like to see more design in the zaw and kitguns look. That would be a nice option if you can design every part of the weapon and modify it. You could use the existing ones and the added ones and you can just make a new. Like in planet explorers where you can basically design your items.

So basically fallout new Vegas crafting with zaws and kitgun

    I like it

  7. 3 hours ago, (PS4)guzmantt1977 said:

    1. Funny, some of the zaws can be top tier stuff. So, you know... That's a thing.

As far as a claim that "melee weapons work like other melee weapons" or "secondary weapons are similar to other secondary weapons", I am going to just sit here and wait for you to experience an epiphany.

    2. As for Vauban not being a cc frame because you don't like him.... No.

And do tell me more about how a ground transport vehicle is different to an air transport vehicle. And afterwards we will discuss the fact that apples and oranges may not actually be the same fruit and shouldn't really be directly compared to one another.

    3. Not really because we both know that your 8 minute exercise will take more than 10 times that. Because of time gating. Sort of like Nitain. Both are guaranteed, but only drop for a limited period, making them tougher for some players to do. RNG is an alternative to that. If you don't have one, expect the other.

    1. Yes they can be a top tier, but their aren't any different from using a regular weapon (only arcane), because what there are just better stat. What is it exactly separates zaw or kitgun from normal weapon, is it because of a more higher stat that can reached to 100% crit or stat while other weapon have already done this before.

    2. Vauban is a CC frame, but of course a bad one. Well one is more faster, more efficient, allows you to use equipment, while the other is slower, is not as efficient, and doesn't allow the use weapon. Just put melee or secondary use on k drive, or just give them ability for each individual part.

    3. Looks like assuming is the best way to do it. Anyway you can already get the rewards as easy in eidolon, time gate is not much of a issue as long you are being efficient, but profit taker good luck on getting good RNG, yeah many people complain of how bad the rewards and the RNG, and the fact that DE already know this and they address the issue of it.

    1) Lemme know when you've tried all. If you had only gotten one zaw and one kitgun you'd have complained, legitimately. You just said above that there's little variety when it seems that is because you have certain preferences.

    2) the "why" is answered by the same thing: variety. You have the option of using the k-drive (or archwing) even though you prefer to parkour.

    3) True, we can do them quickly. But try something for me, wait for sunrise on the Plains. Start a timer. See how long it takes to capture your first Terry. If it takes significantly longer than 8 minutes, you may have to consider if there's a good reason for not adding RNG gating on top of time gating.

    1. No it's not because I have certain preference, is because there is no difference between zaw or kitgun with normal weapon. The only difference is that they can use exodia, but other than that that it's. There's nothing unique. DE can just add scopes for kitgun for some bonus effect, for zaws? Maybe giving hok a whetstone to sharpen our weapon that would give a bonus effect.

    2. Dude let me tell you this, there's only 2 vehicle. 1 is severely underpowered and the other has some pretty good use. Just because there's a variety does not mean we should ignore the problem of it. It's like the CC frames, where there's a variety of frame then you have Vauban which is equivalent to K drive,  no it's not because I preferred parkour over k drive, because I don't like to use k drive in caves, because getting ragdoll

    3. So I have to do favour for this to work, yeah not gonna bother with this one. Days is not RNG time gating if that's what your  comment is about. Also what we are talking about is RNG table, which of rewards that has little chance to drop

Melee 3.0 isn't the issue, its that you want to create a  PvP mode, force melee only (which by definition means removing quite a lot of the things that make up the game of Warframe), and don't seem to be grasping the fact that the community is rather vocally against PvP.

If you figure that PvP isn't at the core of your idea, take that part out. See if it still works.

As far I know this to prevent people jumping around while shooting (one of the thing that you see in conclave, is that people just jumping around and shooting player) and this also leads to the point where you don't use the melee anymore because it's risky. However I can understand some of the aspect of not allowing to use something., The idea of only melee, is to encourage player to get close to the enemies, (in conclave, if you play on one of the maps that has a higher ground, you can snipe constantly because you can see everything in above which a lot of player never really use melee weapon)

Yes PvP is the core of the idea, but it's not the core gameplay.

    1. Out of curiosity, how many have you built, leveled, gilded, and forma'd?

    2. True 'fun' is subjective, but 'variety' is objective. As to why, because if you've cleared the star chart or took part in the Razorback event, then you would know that tight, confined spaces to pilot through are a thing. I don't enjoy that thing. There's also the caves which are tight and confined and you can try to pilot through. Or you can use the k-drive. Have you done the k-drive races?

    3. And the orbs only spawn at night too, limiting your chances at getting the drops even further. Wait.... That's not right is it?

    1. 3, 1 is 5 forma, 2 is 3 forma, and the other one is not fully level because I am lazy and ran out of forma

    2. fair reason, but then why use archwing in a cave to begin with, using a k drive in cave is not much big deal because parkouring is way more better because if you speed up in cave, congrats you just ragdoll. Yes I have doone k drive races, but not with other players, because the moment they enter, they disconnected, and when I join them I got disconnected.

    3. Eidolon hunt can be completed in just 8 minutes so it's not much of a problem, but  does it change the fact putting a resource that is needed to be progess on a RNG table. Is a bad thing?

No mate, it uses PvP as it's core base.

The post I made is PvP but the core base of tis game play is melee 3.0

Melee 3.0 just happened to look like a good fit for how to bring For Honor into Warframe, by making people not able to do most of the stuff that they do in Warframe.

What, what does melee 3.0 does not allow people to do thing exactly

No, friend. I did read your post and did respond to it. You seem to be caught up with how wonderful you think your idea could be.

You don't seem to recognise that others don't feel the same way. I'll give you some time to figure it out.

You said melee 3.0 none of that has nothing to do with PvP, why do you think what my post was actually? Because it uses melee 3.0 as it core base.

  13. 6 minutes ago, (PS4)guzmantt1977 said:

Well apart from being pistols, not melee, and having a totally different way of being used, and having quite a bit of variety. But I suspect that you're desperately grasping at the whole "they're both modular". Of course I doubt that you would try and claim that apples and oranges are both "fruit" so they're exactly the same thing.

Yes k-drives are slower, but you take a video of your archwing doing tricks and post it up. Or let's point out that I really, really don't want to take an archwing through any confined spaces (I've gotten more than enough of that harvesting cryptographic alu's the other day to last me a loooong time). Again it seems that you think that apples and tomatoes should be identical, for some reason.

Sort of like fighting Eidolons gives resources needed to level up in another syndicate? Which in turn rewards you with things that can make the hunting easier? Which is part of the game where most rewards are based on RNG?

So pretty much the whole thing boils down to an argument of "why do I have to do x in order to be able to get better at x"?

    Yeah that.

Complaining is fine mate, but complain just for the sake of complaint? Kind of unproductive.

    Ok

    1. Not much variety about the 2 of the part, since all you need to pick the handle or grip that give the most damage (in this case melee speed is a bit important but for guns not much of a big deal), pick the ammo that is either crit or status (obviously mostly people just choose crit over status). Then pick what weapon type to choose (which is the only one has a bit variety). But what is it that separates this weapon from regular weapon, the only one that I could think off is exodia, but that's it. There's no unique feature about them beside allowing to use exodia

    2. well give one advantage that k drive have over archwing. If you said fun, that's subjective. Why would even you take archwing to a confined space to begin with. If DE is planning to put a new vehicle when we have archwing, they need to have 1 advantages that makes the vehicle more better than archwing. If not it was just was more of waste time.

    3. Because eidolon have a guranteed chance at dropping that given resources. Profit taker resources is not guranteed, because they put it in RNG table.

  14. 1 minute ago, (PS4)guzmantt1977 said:

None of that has anything to do with PvP. Nor does it address the fact that the mechanics in our game is completely different to what you are trying to copy and paste from. You might have an easier time going to whoever makes For Honor and asking them to add extreme parkour, and crazy space ninja weapons.

At least there you won't have the resistance to PvP, and maybe they can explain why it won't work in a way that you will understand better.

You keep saying that they have a problem and DE should fix it. That's the same as saying "Fix the badly done PvP". And again problem is not that the PvP is badly done, it's that it's PvP which is not something that most of the community seems to have any interest in.

Mainly because it's PvP, and if you start trying to remove the things that make it "Warframe" and add the things that make it "For Honor" then most of the people who want to play "Warframe" will be uninterested in that content?

Then perhaps you missed the majority of the replies that you have gotten from others on threads dealing with PvP. They do explain a rather significant problem.

Wow, it looks like someone didn't bother to read my statement or idea that I posted and there is not much of copy paste, since melee 3.0 is basically for Honor. Wow I guess blocking air combo are copy paste, wow I guess rolling to prevent being vunerable.

No I didn't, I said " PvP modes such as Conclaive or lunaro are badly done by DE, and they never really fix the problem". Does this sound "fix the badly done PvP"?

DE basically copied the whole gameplay into PvP, without making sure that there is no problem, like Todd Howard's says "it just works"

What is there to be remove exactly when you only adding something?

The only thing I would see the problem is the P2P server and the netcode problem

This comment is referring to this PvP idea not the current one. I am fully aware of what's the problem of the current PvP problem.

Ahh you're one of the folks who looks at a partially filled glass and instead of thinking "the glass is half full" you say "the glass is empty, it's probably poison, it's not new because every other drink is equally wet and content drought".

You literally named a series new things before trying to find (what ended up being rather bogus) reasons to trash them. Not a particularly good strategy.

Not really I am one of those people that wants the game to become better because when they release a trailer that was overhyped and it can be completed short amount of time (looking at you the sacrifice). i mean foruna is PoE 2.0, glaring issues on the grinding part, you got timegating and syndicate cap on this open world, also if you say to prevent players experience burnout, I can give you give you a example of a game that is free and features no timegating and no caps, Path of Exile. Caps is needed to certain extent, however if it just blocking your progression for the sake of you keep playing, its bad design, same goes for time gating.

Kitgun are zaw, there's not much difference there.

Are kitgun slower than archwing? Yes. Does is have some abilities that you can use to do something? No. Is it better than archwing? No. Is it enjoyable? Preference

Orb fight you fight this and you will rewarded with RNG table that also has a resource that is needed in order to rank up in vox Solaris. What is there that is actually bogus?
