  1. Relating to the original post -

I had the same idea. That being said I'm not an experienced eido hunter. I just go through the first one usually because I find myself either alone or with newbies and I'm not fast enough to get the 2nd one down before a lot of vomvalists swarm me and make it a very slow fight. When I happen to get all 3 it's usually with a group that's so fast I don't have time to learn the ins and outs of the fight and I just try to shoot vomvalists and shields if I'm fast enough to do so.

That being said I'm going with oberon and even with 150~ strength smite infusion makes a big difference on limbs (I'm still working on his build though)... So, this sounds like a neat idea. I'd love to try it.

  2. If you mean like a slow down when you aim down the sight while jumping? I'll be into it!

I don't play her much so I'll ask - did you try increasing her fire rate and see if it's enough to compensate for the accuracy issue?

I saw another suggestion for recovering her butterflies on the fly, something along the lines of, if they die killing an enemy while in fairy mode will recover them.

Another question - won't you have to stop mid air in boss battles that require hitting a sweet spot, like with sargas ruk, either way? (Which I will be fine with if we get exlosive rounds... coz boss battle...)

  3. Oberon, the paladin. He even got an apron.

Chroma prime for the image of power.

    Limbo because hat.

Harrow... Nobody expects the spanish inquisition!

Out of the females I think equinox prime looks the most regal but even then I have this notion that she's into her own thing. Maybe banshee or mag prime can be made to look official? I'm kinda bad at fashion, idk apart from that xD

  4. Ohh yeah, I forgot about the amalgams... Which says something about them. Like the infested but slower and with more range options, so they don't confer this sensation of wanting to kill me and in return they're not hard to kill. So they're with the corrupted and sentients in the average pool for me. I do love the design of the -new- amalgam in the infested disruption though.

  5. What I did for the very beginning and that I can recommend:

Oberon with phoenix renewal and a generalist build (no range mods though) and a lanka (crit and radiation focus). Oberon is far from being the optimized option but he's safe, can heal lures and you can solo with him. All of which are important for learning.

That's because you first need to get the idea of how the fights handle. After a few captures with this setup should teach you what you need to know.

Go solo, get your energy up... Unlike Trinity your energy will always go down, which is why you want to start with high energy and get only as many lures as you need, so 2 lures for the first one. When you break a limb cast your grass, stand on it and go to operator mode and right into void mode. Stay on the grass and make sure the lures are there too, it'll protect all of you from the magnetic procs.

After a few of these you'll get the feel for the rhythm of the fight and transitioning to other frames and setups will be easier.

If you like oberon and want to keep using him swap your augment for the augment for his first ability and make sure to pump your power strength a bit more, as it affects the damage the augment gives you.

  6. How about not main a frame per frame, but per mission type? Make a build you would want to use for a mission and save it in the loadout menue, then you have things set and you still don't use only 1 frame...

For ecample, I use nyx for interception, loki for fast and stealth missions like spy and capture, equinox for eso, oberon for hydron etc'... And they are all set with a build for these tasks.

  7. @kevoisvevo

Interesting. I should try it, though the effects of the shots tend to lower my frame rate after a few shots.

    @Akai-no-bara

Looks like I did indeed miss quite a lot. I admit I didn't investigate much into focus... And well, I would assume that with a combo counter a good number of weapons will get to red crits, although I don't know if they'll be as fast at it. In this case then, it's no surprise that your zaw does, I bet it's a lot of fun. Ohh and yeah, I completely missed out on secondary naming via hok.

  8. @(NSW)FlameDivinity

I started formaing my deconstructor yesterday, I'll be looking forward for the results, even if it'll take me a while =]

    @Akai-no-bara

Would you share some of your builds? I certainly don't get red crits on no-combo-counter hits, something that can do that should be interesting.

I didn't know it's possible to name glaives, which one did I miss? It looks like you could shed some light on this thread, I'd appreciate it if you will.

    @(PS4)Eluminary

I should check for atleast one of those lesion vids when I get home, I've yet to see one. Thanks for the tip!

  9. Why? Curiosity and curiosity alone.

And I think your comment is an excellent one! That's a start, but perhaps I could challenge you with the question - if not a zaw, then what? While skana definitely has potential it pales to that of said gram prime. What in your opinion could step up to the realm of the mighty zaws?... Or, you know, get close?

  10. Hello everybody.

This discussion is inspired by a topic on the warframe fandom app by limbo prime where he asked what are the best melee weapons and where gram prime stand. I tried gram prime and got curious, now I'm here.

I'm looking for melee weapons that are as good or better than a zaw. Why? Curiosity! And before you keep on reading - this topic might (I hope) make a step into the game meta, be warned. I do hope for a fruitful discussion though. Let's get going.

I see this in 2 criteria. First is practical and second is theoretical.

Practical can definitely be something powerful you encountered but didn't compare to a zaw which may be worth looking into and it can also be damage numbers you saw, so the comparison is already there.

Theoretical can be, say, something that will work with x4 combo multiplier, which is very rare to see.

    All are good though.

But I'm not leaving this thread so empty handed, I have some examples myself - Atterax, for the ease of use with maiming and the ease of which it procs slash. The fact that zaws don't have a whip doesn't really count because polearm do a fine job in the same department, but the atterax got a good rep for a reason. That's a practical example, see?

A theoretical example would be the jat kittag. It probably can't hit as hard as my plague kripath (which I'll get to) but vulkan blitz is its' own magic. Everyone who used it enough know how much power it has.

We're talking comparing things to zaws, and how do we do that without a zaw? For this I'll show yours trulys' plague kripath. Riven, condition overload, maiming... I think I got the stuff for a powerful weapon and I'll bring it forth so we all have something to beat.

So, what melee and\or build is better than a zaw?

*The hidden mod is condition overload

  11. You have plague zaws which come from recurring event and you have the mutalist weapons. They're enough for me because I'm fine with infested themed stuff coming to us by different means, I think it adds to their theme.

Besides, we got one open world for corpus and one for grineer... Next is infested I guess, so we might just have plenty in a... year or two? xD

  12. To original post: Agreed and upvotes.

I finally got a good, nice roll for my silva&aegis prime specifically for quick melee when 3.0 hit. That being said the stance they have follow the strikes of the quick melee and I like the different combos, but still. And I miss the windmills. In favour of the stances I'll say that newer stances -tend- to be more fluid and that many of them have strikes with benefits like procs and damage multipliers.

Still, I'd love to have a button mapped for quick melee. I miss it.
