  1. I'll keep it quick.  :D

If you pull out your Valkyr and mess with the Primary color field, the color as applied to the body is desaturated in comparison to the Bastet head.  The Bastet head has some spiky neck bits that flank the Body's actual neck, so you can get a clear side-by-side comparison.  The difference is most notable with saturated color selections, like the rich reds in the Valentine palette, most of the Infested palette, and the pure black in the Smoke palette.

I'm saying the Body looks desaturated because it really has pretty low fidelity to the color selection, while the Bastet head looks like it's actually trying to be the selected color.

This may be a problem in other color fields, but it's definitely in the Primary field and it's definitely noticeable there.

  2. Since nobody has posted it yet, the Tethra's Doom rewards are already in there and were distributed in game several minutes after the conclusion of the event.

If you log in now, and you qualify, rewards will be reaped.

  3. That her face is the same/similar to Tenno captives only suggests a handful of things:

    1) Lack of Modeling Assets; as much face as we're talking about and how often and how well we see female humanoid faces, we don't need that many face assets.

    2) Tenno may be a cloned race, of which The Lotus may be a member, and she is one of/the female clone type; this does not preclude her also being an A.I., however.

    3) The Lotus may merely be a symbol, a distraction, a courteous or deceptive facade for others to relate to while interacting with her, regardless of if she is human, if she is Tenno and Tenno is substantially different than human, if she is A.I., or if she is vintage Orokin working a master plan.

So I can't buy your argument against her being an A.I. just yet, man.

  4. PvP won't work here without options to limit powers, exclude powers entirely and go pure run-and-shoot, exclude particular weapons, and - perhaps most importantly - assign weapons for use within the match, regardless of whether the players own them.

PvP also probably needs to consider incorporating outside-the-box PvP things like competitive obstacle courses and shooting ranges.

  5. I bleed all the time from that bleeding proc.  Then I stand by a wall and go nutso Jackson Pollock for freakin' five seconds.

I look forward to them reeling that mess in.  If I wanted to spray blood all over the place all the time, I'd play Mortal Kombat.

  6. I had a guy tell me in chat today that the Devs have said they have no plans to re-release the Cicero Mods.

I mean, that's kind of a "Duh" thing, because they're actively planning other stuff and denying any plans is basic information management, ya know?  Right now, I have no plans for dinner.  See where I am going with this?  A lack of plans does not mean a topic is actually off the table as a possibility.  I pressed the guy for the quote but he, ya know, said to search the forums.

Anyone heard any concrete there-is-no-chance-Cicero-mods-will-be-released-again quote from a Dev guy?  Or otherwise?

  7. I am floored that people even want to spend $139 like that.

What I think?  DE needs to keep in mind that PS4 users are never going to get Platinum Discounts in their log-in rewards and price their market goods a smidge more kindly - at least some of them, like cosmetics.

I understand they have to get their money, and we kinda have to keep them paid to keep the game going, but the notoriously cheaper play on PC paired with PS4 getting content later makes for us a weirdly more expensive kind of second-class citizen.

  8. Totally forgot - I initially came here for a reason.  Hours ago.

It seems Tethra's Doom was extended?  Great!  (Wish that'd happened with Cicero Crisis, what with the update delays...)

I was just wondering when Tethra's Doom is now scheduled totally wrap and drop in the rewards.

And unrelatedly, but someone might know: When's the PS4 crew going to get the prototype Excalibur skinjob thing?

  9. Look, DE, this is ridiculous.  The bolt is a great mechanic, I'm not going to pretend it isn't, but we have a problem here with its recipe.

Seriously, here's the components list for a bolt release:

    1 Morphics

    1 Neurodes

    1 Neural Sensors

    20 Oxium

It's not like we're swimming in Neural Sensors in Warframe.  It's already ridiculous, hilarious, and freakin' dumb that we have to go bully Alad V whenever we need some, since he's the only fight that reliably drops them.

That's pretty important, okay - Alad V is on Jupiter, which makes this pain-in-the-&#! component an exceptional pain-in-the-&#! for new players.

So why isn't the 20 Oxium enough?  It's a scarce enough component with few applications and this is a great one.  It's accessible pretty early in.  Its source is diversely located, but it will only drop 1-3 at a time.  It's a great component.

    Neural Sensors?  Not so much.

Plus - and this is also super important, so please take note - there are less-than-honest means to totally avoid receiving a bolt if the Grustrag Three party-crash a mission into abject failure.  Since I don't condone that sort of playing, I'm not going to get into the How, as half of everyone at least already knows how, but let's remember how astoundingly easy it is to pull that dirty trick.

So how about it, DE?  Let's, ya know, show some love and yank the Neural Sensors out of the Bolt Release recipe, eh?

  10. Re: Stat Helmets

It'd be nice if there were some Prime and Corpus-ified versions of helmets.  Maybe even some helmets with Grineer and Infested design aesthetics.

Maybe they'd be a great thing to try out some stat helmets on.

Definitely would be nice to see some Prime versions of helmets for Warframes that have Prime counterparts, and being able to use the regular versions of heads on Prime Warframes.

  11. Grindfest games are stupid time-sinks.  If you want to sink time - your life - into doing something, make it something productive.

Grind has no place in leisure.  There's an acceptable amount of rigor in a game's design, but once it hits "grind" level it becomes a time-sink, just burning the brief candle that is your life.

Leisure should be fun, besides.  People go to work to go to work.
