  1. Grindfest games are stupid time-sinks.  If you want to sink time - your life - into doing something, make it something productive.

Grind has no place in leisure.  There's an acceptable amount of rigor in a game's design, but once it hits "grind" level it becomes a time-sink, just burning the brief candle that is your life.

Leisure should be fun, besides.  People go to work to go to work.

  2. Basically, you went off on your own to be a badass out of sharing range, leaving your team, and leaving your team to babysit the objective.

That basically makes you kind of a jerk and a poor, excessively self-centered teammate.

  3. I hate playing with people using: Molecular Prime, throwing Snow Globe in stupid places when other people are using the Penta or Ogris, Shadows of the Dead, Oberons that spam Reckoning, Zephyr's tornado crap.

I hate personally using: Slash Dash, Super Jump, Mind Control, Bullet Attractor, Shuriken (so weak, so weak).

Super Jump + Heavy Impact = Two Mod Slots Better Used on Anything Else

  4. I think the enemy turnover should follow the same rules as a player Capture, but with Conflicts weighted toward which team has more guys present (X Tenno vs Y Grinner).

I don't really like the enemy-captures-through-computer-console business because it's 1) very easy to stop the enemy if you're at the objective by just shooting them out as they approach or work the console, and 2) very easy for the enemy to succeed if you're running back and forth between objectives since they only need a good few seconds to operate the console and immediately convert the objective, whereas a Tenno will have to sit and babysit it - what, 15-20 seconds? - to convert it.

If both teams played by the same rules, a 2-man defense would be feasible.  As it is, you need three guys for a successful run that doesn't drag on and on.

Or, they could scale the objectives to the number of people playing - that'd work, too.  1 Player, 2 Objectives live.  2 Players, 3 Objectives live.  3 or 4 Players, all Objectives live.

  5. Nobody in his right mind holds the quality of the stream against the game or hardware more than they do the user's connectivity.

Get over it, guys.  The PS4 is plenty powerful enough.  The issue is the Sony bottleneck and limiting stuff so that it can handle everyone, versus the diffuse bandwidth handling over multiple providers enjoyed by the Master Race.

We're all Tenno here, yeah?  That's what should matter, yeah?

  6. Yeah, that's what I did.  I Forma'd two of my Ability polarity slots into something useful and I only run with Radial Blind and Radial Javelin.  They're great skills, don't get me wrong, but as great as they are the other two skills are as terrible.

They need to start coming up with a 5th Ability for each Warframe, and maybe a couple Ability cards that any Warframe can use.

  7. Yikes, the Warframes Crafted numbers are kinda low.  That number is probably most weighty in evaluating the real/retained playerbase numbers.

7.8 million at least one-time users with only 2.4 million additional Warframes crafted - many of which will be players crafting multiple Warframes - that seems awfully low.

I've crafted another 6 Warframes myself.  (Not counting three in the Foundry waiting for me to expand my inventory at 20 Platinum a freakin' pop.)

  8. That isn't an option on the PS4 at the moment.

Even if it was, it's not like Orthos Prime Blades are in abundance.

If I wasn't selling Paris Prime Strings here and there, I'd be pushing two dozen by now.  The keys, not so bad.  All the strings, though, that's ridiculous.

  9. I've been asking around periodically and it seems like my experience is not unique.

I can ask, at pretty much any time of day, if anyone else is experiencing a situation where they are only getting Paris Prime String and keys from T2 Capture, and without fail a couple people will chime in to say they're getting it, too.

I've heard rumors that the Capture loot system is even broken.

It'd be great to hear something definitive about this.

  10. What they need to do is re-release these mods in rare drops in normal missions (Defense, Survival, etc) and with normal distribution rates for Nightmare Mode on specific planets to encourage play there.

Barely anyone plays Nightmare Mode in the outer planets since they can roll the dice for the same loot pool on an easier planet.

  11. I think it's a failed design if it takes a particular frame to excel in a mission.

So Rhino has a very good foot in the door, but should that mean every other Warframe gets the teeth slapped out of their face?  Isn't it also a little much to expect Rhino to just be an option at the ready for a game with two Warframe slots by default, having more of which comes through the use of premium currency?

Let's not pretend that not a single second of "actually think(ing)" went through my or my teammates' minds in all of those failed attempts.  No Shields is just the exceptionally garbage short stick to pull in a play of Nightmare Mode, and it was the only thing going for an Alert.

  12. Was kinda excited when this alert came up on the Twitter feed: Mimas (Saturn):

    Nightmare Mod Located - 51m - 13000cr - Hammer Shot (Mod)

Dropped everything to give this one a try and get a Hammer Shot.

Gave it another try, after one of the team mates was a total deadbeat and never moved after he queued up.  Rest of us got annihilated.

Gave it another try.  My team got annihilated again.

Gave it another try.  My team got annihilated again.

Wasn't able to give it another try after the Corpus bum rushed the second computer and took us down with 10 seconds left on the clock. We were so close Lotus even told us the mission was completed and to move on, because we were so close she went ahead and told us how great we did in advance to account for the transmission delay.

Let me put it all out there: the No Shields flavor of Nightmare Mode sucks. People back out of matches when they draw it so they can "roll again" for anything else Nightmare Mode offers, because No Shields is the shortest of the short straws.

This Alert? There wasn't any redrawing, though - every time we tried again, No Shields. Probably the nature of the alert.

The nature of that Alert sucked.
