  1. Argon Scope is pretty overhyped. It used to be devastating with the Tonkor because the projectile didn't need headshots or even bodyshots to trigger the normal damage multiplier + the mod. Along with the Tonkor's crit chance/damage, it made a broken weapon. Since explosive weapons no longer benefit from the vanilla headshot crit multiplier, Argon Scope is better used on sniper rifles and is coveted for its rarity rather than its usefulness.

Sah had traveled out of the combat range and to the cafeteria, having pulled up Abra's location. She had made it without much distraction passing by a swath of crewmen on their way to the engine core, heralding that they would soon depart the station, she was a bit upset that she had not gotten time to explore herself. It wasn't daily that one was able to explore a mostly pristine orokin tower, let alone a friendly one. It wasn't to be however, she wished that the damned cephalon would stop watching over her like some beast over it's mewling young, if the situation needed Sah'jey was sure she could handle it full and well in her current state. The door to the cafeteria slid open, and she took a step in, "Abra?" She looked around not immediately seeing him, and since the CPID didn't like to give lower levels exact details on location she had to search the relative area still, "You in here still. I wanted to have a chat about-" Her voice halted it was still hard to say, despite her attempts to normalize with the fact, she'd have a new one in a few weeks, just as strong as her old one, why was she so bothered by this. "About.. my uh..... your- no the prosthetic."

"Oh, Sah'jey!" Abra's face broke into a smile. Upon noticing her hesitation, concern flickered into his expression. "What's the matter? Is something wrong with it?"

He remembered the unique sensation of lacking a limb, the eerie feeling of absence. When he closed his eyes, it was still there, but the lie only worked for a moment. The omission of a response when his hand should be touching something was enough to unveil reality. After getting his prosthetic, that phantom pain receded, but he sometimes felt a disconnection, as though his true arm was trying to disengage from the metallic replacement.

It was not pain, but a sensation of wrongness beyond description. The experience was not a pleasant one.

“Oh heavens, no!” Alaric said with a laugh.  “The Lotus wouldn’t let the Corpus anywhere near a project like this.  Can you imagine how they would react if it was generally known that Tenno could field anything larger than a stealth shuttle?  No, as far as the Corpus are concerned, these components are either marked off as ‘lost to Tenno raiders’ or, as you already guessed, ‘sold to the Perrin Sequence.’  Lovely fellow, that Ergo Glast.  Pity he and Cressa Tal don’t get along.”

He closed the service panel on one of the fabricator’s printing arms with a satisfying click and set about clearing tools off the surface.

“All done up here, by the way,” he called.  “Let me know when we can spin it up for a test run.”

"Pfft. You'd think at least a few major Corpus Boardmembers would wise up already and just ally with the Tenno." The Mirage mused. "They'll just keep hemorrhaging funds if they try to stick a finger in every proverbial pie."

"Also, five platinum Cressa and Glast are into each other but the Lotus keeps up the rivalry because otherwise too many Syndicates would be allied, and unity is no fun." She giggled at the thought of such an unlikely yet oddly fitting pairing, turning back to the fabricator. "Anyway, I'm done here. Just gotta... Yep, done for real."

"Let's start small with a cipher module." Her fingers tapped at the holographic display, selecting and beginning construction. Within a moment, the arms of the fabricator spun and weaved molten plastics, metal and circuitry into a handheld device - once finished, a pleasant chime rang out. "Looks good. You wanna try with something more complex, an incubator core or something?"

  3. Procedurally generated Kingpins with unique powers? Unlikely. Much more likely it'll have powers copy pasted from other bosses, eximus troops, Manics, Bursas, and so on.

Shadow of Mordor is fun, but please stop adding mechanics and game modes that add onto the pile of broken systems that desperately need reworks. They'll pay attention to the Kingpin system for the first two weeks after it's implemented and then move onward to the next thing.

  4. Better alternatives for entertainment. When I got Darkest Dungeon, I ignored Warframe for several weekends. When I got Dishonored, I ignored a mediocre Baro visit and only played Warframe every now and then. Now that I have Overwatch, I haven't actually played Warframe at all.

I updated it, but I haven't actually played because there's nothing significant for me to pursue. Skins? Nice, but I don't buy plat and I prefer spending what little I get on things like slots. New weapon? Shiny, but I don't want it. If I want a set of tonfas I'll farm Hexis rep, but I don't want to.

John Prodman? Almost enough, but I'm done with the Index ever since the Nidus quest. There's no way I'm going back to that hell.

EDIT: Does anyone remember those monthly polls DE ran a long time ago and suddenly stopped using?

Although DE is still one of the most open development teams and are kept informed of fan opinions, questions and criticism, lately there have been more and more actions that go against previously established rules.

"Reduce grind" - yet the Hema, Sibear, 10+ Nitain and 3+ Argon cost of every new weapon still exist, along with absurdly low drop chances of mods, prime parts, relics, Warframe parts (looking at you, Nidus).

"Balance" - yet more and more powerful weapons keep being introduced. There was a time when the Dakra Prime was the very best melee weapon. Now it's a joke, easily beaten by the (free) Broken War. Enemies still fail to find that sweet spot between wet cardboard that tries to slap at you and indestructible nuclear weapons that blind, cc, and instakill you. Certain warframes are only used for FashionFrame and see no action.

DE is making decisions that encourage the purchase of new item/cosmetic packs and the use of platinum to get what you want. These are business decisions: the intent is to make money, not improve the game. Although the visible Devs are passionate about the game, they no longer have full control of Warframe. They are not to be blamed for rising prices and imbalance. They are struggling to keep their game fair and user friendly while also conforming to the demands of their higher-ups.

  5. During the quest, we regularly receive messages from Neewa with drawings we can place as decorations. Something seems to be wrong with the third drawing though, at least for me.

Although I've received the message and it reads "These items have been delivered to your Inventory", it doesn't show up.

All the other drawings do, but this one doesn't.

Quite certain it needs a fix.

Also, despite choosing the Neutral decision, the icon shifted to Moon completely.

No sooner had Kate spoken than the head of her erstwhile boss – sans helmet – peered over the edge of the fabricator table she was working on.  Aside from the scarlet flicker of arclight deep in his eyes, Alaric’s plain features and vaguely mussed mop of brown hair showed remarkably few signs of the Void and Technocyte corruption common to most Tenno.

“The boards need replacement?  Really?”  The trace of incredulous irritation in his voice was clearly directed at the components rather than Kate.  “Money-grubbing Corpus corner-cutters.”  There was the clunk-clanking of objects being shifted, the distinct click of fresh circuit boards being removed from their storage housings, and a moment later the components dropped into Kate’s waiting hand.

“Those ought to do it for you.  Good catch, Kate,” Alaric said, his voice muffled by the machine casing between them.  A pause, then, “Oh, if you’re replacing the circuitry, you might need to check the morphic transformers as well.  There’s a fresh stabilizer capsule next to you, right about where you’d normally find your left pistol grip.”

He kept an ear cocked for Kate’s reply, if there was one, as he went back to his own work on the machine’s manipulator arms, a small smile on his face at seeing the little Mirage happily engrossed in her work.  If Kate was listening closely, she might hear him murmur quietly, “It’s so nice to have another mechanic on-board.”

"Yeah, I dunno. Corpus usually have higher standards for product quality - consumers won't trust your brand if your goods are crap." She fiddled with a pair of cables, making sure the connection was secure. "Then again, monopoly. They can get away with sh¡tty overpriced products if they're the only suppliers."

She took the circuits with an automatic "Thanks" and slotted them into the machine. Kate moved towards the transformers, observing them carefully. "Yep, stabilizer is running a bit low. No rush though, it'll last for two... no, three more days until it needs replacement. Waste not and all that."

Although pleased by Alaric's comment, she didn't let it show, instead acting as though the already repaired fabricator was her only focus.

"Say, were the Corpus actually involved in the Manifold's construction? Or were they Perrin Sequence?"

  7. Was running a Neo fissure in the Void when, by the 17 minute mark or so, I got disconnected and had to log in again. I was given the option to join my old squad, i clicked yes, and then I got into the mission again. The others were still there, time hadn't stopped, but my UI just wasn't there. No aim reticle, no health indicator, no map. I could still run around, shoot, collect Void frragments.

However, by the (maybe) 20 min mark, this showed up.

    SJt3CZp.jpg

Couldn't open the menu with Esc, could only type. Got stuck on that screen along with at least one other squadmate. We tried to force a host migration, and though we were still in the mission after the transition, we were also still stuck at the Relic selection screen.

    Anybody else had this problem?
