There seems to be a bug regarding the tendrils and how they affect your in-game stats.
Issue: Sentient Surge tendrils incorporate at DOTs as registered "Hits" inclusive to their status duration.
Replication: Proc any DOT element (heat for example), and for every second lasted without reapplying, it counts as a hit. Even if enemies are dead, it still count the length of status duration as hits, inclusive to modded or innate status duration.
Traditionally this isn't the case with any other weapon, as DOT's don't count as hits within your profile. This was originally identified through a kill to hit comparison of multiple profiles.
Example of one of my runs was a non-steel path Neo Exterminate, killing 122 enemies but had registered a staggering 8000 hits over 63 seconds (mission start to extraction duration).
I can see this being a problem for potential future content and performance if not addressed. Please look into this for the next certification. It is currently an active bug on all platforms.
