  1. I don't know... Forums are always the place where the negativity accumulates. There's no point to create a forum topic to praise how amasing new feature #X is. So it appear like there's only negativity.

But i personally like the nightwave. I think it should be a little bit faster... Maybe there should be more weekly challenges, or maybe 2 daily ones. Maybe even 3. But otherwise i love it. Espeically the new desert camo skins - i bought almost all of them. Only missed atterax.

  2. This is my favorite K-Drive.

As you can see its rank 22.
Inability to forma it confirms it.

Here its thinking its still rank 22 at the begining of the mission.

Yet this is what happens the moment i earn any k-drive points at all, even if i just jump through the air.

As you can see it skiped directly to sending any affinity earned into Naramon focus school. It also believes that its a max rank now, when that's not the case.

This k-drive been rank 22 for months now even though its the only one i use.

Did anyone else run into this problem? Should i hope DE fixes it, or should i just skip straight to support tickets?

  3. You probably were kicked by either the KickBot or one of region chat moderators.

In KickBot's case: he kicks for writing trigger-words, there's a bunch of them.
In moderator's case... Its free game really. Or at least was, until recent adjustments and changes to approach. They are responsible for more in-context stuff. Offensive stuff, dev-bashing, S#&$ like that.

  4. Its been a problem for ages now. Who remembers when opticor had 540 ammo, which basically meant it had infinite ammo?

ITs also why i hated Kohm which uses ammo like a machine gun, but restores it via shotgun packs. Impossible to get ammo back.

Then again, that's why Carrier Prime exists. Guns like grakata have ammo issues only in long term missions like survival. That's when you need Carrier Prime to give you bonus ammo edge.

  5. Then there will be no point in rivens' existence. We just amplfy the power creep by insane margin all across the board and fans of less powerful weapons will get cucked again.

The point of rivens was to allow people to bring out their old dusty underpowered weapons and be able to compete - at least partially - with the more powerful and community-favorite weapons.

Tigris Prime doesn't need any more power than it has already. But Sobek does.
Lex Prime doesn't. Kraken does. I prefer Kraken over Lex (just because its grineer and for nostalgia sake when i was MR5 years ago).

That's pretty much the point of rivens. And riven disposition is supposed to keep that function in check. But the current speed of disposition adjustments is... Questionable. Overpowered monstrocities get to exist for a little bit too long than they should.

Although i get it. They want to lessen the blow by spreading it across time, so it doesn't hurt as much. But i think the approach of hair removal is best here. Do it now, do it quick and we'll get it over quicker rather than suffer knowing that more pain is coming.

  6. I believe Steve mentioned something like that on Twitter.

One of the things on his "to do" list was to remove sprint key since people sprint forever anyway. Almost nobody just walks.

  7. Seems to be happening exclusively to warframe.
    Happened twice: yesterday and today.
In both situations i always had a youtube 1080p video running in a background in Google Chrome. Could be a contributor?
The game's minimum specs changing could also be a suspect, but im on Windows 7, so its not that im falling out supported specs.

Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 1060 GTX
    RAM: 8GB
    CPU: i5

I updated the driver after first crash, but it happened again on a new one. So unless both drivers have the same issues in them, im guessing it might be the game? Not sure yet.

UPDATE: Nevermind, had BSOD (thaat i din't see, apparently) and driver crash on me while i was just watching youtube. Yeah, its definetely something on my end.
Mods, close this topic if you feel like it.

  8. For better or for worse - that's how the game's designed. All of us got through it one way or another.

Yes, this game is unfriendly to newcomers. Mostly because its insanely over-complicated and wiki has to become your best friend in this.

As far as grind goes... Just take it slower. Relax. Enjoy the gameplay and the grind end itself at some point. Fixating on a single thing and mindleslly grinding for it is how people become burn-out. I would know.

Same advice goes for timers. Are 24 hours crafting delays reasonable? Debatable. Are they easy to deal with? Yes. Just get patient and wait. A weapon that crafts 24 hours is a weapon that you'll be playing with tomorrow.

  9. I doubt DE will sacrifice the psychic theme for gameplay convinience.

They COULD try to create a separate AI for mind controlled enemies though. And then - if its good enough - maybe even apply it to normal enemies. Although i HIGHLY doubt they will do it.

They already stated that they can't be bothered with complicated refined AI because we murder enemies in hundreds in seconds. Expendable grunts don't need good brains.
So instead they focus on making more dangerous enemies smarter. Such as Heavy Gunner, Corpus Tech, that guy with a glass over his head.

Dont mind control just whoever, mind control who's worthy of being mind controlled.

That said, the whole enterprise sounds really weird to me. Another account to contribute to research and stuff? You still have to farm the stuff to contribute with one of the two accounts. By having two accounts you don't get twice as much playtime, you just have to split your time between two accounts and be less efficient with it.

I personally think it's a weird idea and I wouldn't be surprised if DE thought it was suspicious.

    Double that.

This plan is flawed because you'll still have to farm resource either way, so why even bother? You are literally winning 0 from this.

  11. Except Cryotra is a status sentinel weapon and is made for crowd conrol / combat support, not for damage.

As far as my opinion on companion weapons dealing no damage - i think that's intentional. DE don't want to make your companions combat competent, otherwise they could literally clear missions for you if they were to good. That's why DE keeps giving them disgustingly bad stats.

In fact, we've been through this already: Diriga's Vulklok when it was just released. It was so good that i literally could complete missions for you.
So DE nerfed it so bad - it became so worthless they had to buff it again to somewhat acceptable levels (shoots once in milenia, rarely misses, deals decent (but not good) damage).

The same principle is being applied to all other companion weapons... Except i dont see the point.

Okay, Artax and Cryotra have their purpose. They are pure status weapons - they dont deal damage at all, they just proc enemies with debuffs to help you.
But all other weapons... Have no purpose at all. They don't deal enough damage to justify investing into them, and they are not status monsters either. So... What's their purpose then?

So, either DE must make all companion weapons status focused with at least 20% status chance on every single one of them (and preferably 25% or even 30%), or they must once and for all decide: Should our companions be allowed to bring enough firepower to actually be able to make a difference against enemies below level 40 (and not 20, like it is right now), or perhaps companion weapons are a mistake and are a completely rudimentary part of the game and just a waste of our catalysts and formas (and endo for a 2nd set of mods).

And btw, status is NOT going to work on either Vulklok or Vulkax. Status is BAD on weapons that are slow, especially once that shoot once in 5 seconds. So either they must make every shot count... Or not exist at all.

  12. Yeah. Seriously.

As by Chekhov's Gun Principle: "If in the first act you have hung a pistol on the wall, then in the following one it should be fired. Otherwise don't put it there."

They can't just have this mysterios GIGANTIC orokin tower with some amasing entity in there and do absolutely NOTHING about it. We absolutely must get inside at some point of the story, otherwise - that's LITERALLY bad writing (at least according to Chekhov) and its, quiet frankly, one gigantic wasted potential.

Im not rushing DE to do it right now, of course, but at least for them to aknowledge it would be very nice.

  13. As people had said: wait for melee 3.0 first then we can start thinking about this.

I also think that "dual daggers have no purpose" is a stupid argument. Same can be said for any melee weapon type: staffs, polearms, dual swords...

The problem is not that dual daggers dont have a purpose, they're just bad as melee weapons due to stats that make them inferior to everything else.
They're supposed to be just style choice, just like other melee types, but it just happens that no weapons in that category are good.
Frankly, machetes suffer same issues and i want to use normal daggers outside of stealth takedowns too. So, there's that.

So yeah... Melee 3.0 might be an answer. We'll have to wait.

  14. Came here just for the thread's name to point that toxicity is inherent part of human nature and its an ongoing problem for us for thousands of years and most likely its never going to be solved.

The guy went over the board by making it personal by telling YOU to stop playing public, when its not your fault.

You went over the board by making it out to be like he's the worst person ever and should be banned from the game permanently for being an A****** to you just ONCE.
Which im sure all of us did to someone at some point in our lives.

Both of you are equally wrong and neither of you should be punished for it.
Just pointed out that its not cool to act this way.

  15. Interesting outtake from Perrin Sequence's wiki page:

    "According to Cephalon Cordylon...

(Cordylon was a name of fictional character who supposedly assists Lotus and only existed on forums. There was a series of forums' Q&A posts called "Ask a Cephalon" where people would ask vague lore questions and have them answered on the forums, because there was no way to answer them in-game. Currently, the "Ask a Cephalon" series is dead, because they guy who was doing them left the DE)

...whilst Steel Meridian's and The Perrin Sequence's ideologies do not conflict, their differing methods of resolving conflict does – the former by force and the latter by diplomacy which is the main cause of the negative alignment of both parties, although this may also be attributed from the years of the former's xenophobic culture adapted from the Grineer, a form of hate between the two races which cannot be alleviated with words alone."

  16. I think new Loka is opposed to Steel Meridian simply because they are ex-grineer. As in: they are by default impure, because they are just genetically flawed clones who are only alive due to VERY heavy augmentation. Nothing about existence of grineer is natural or pure by default and New Loka are not happy with that. Hence why community often jokes about them that they are Warframe's secret nazis.

Perrin Sequence and Steel Meridian might be opposed because of difference of their methods. Steel Meridian uses physical force of guerilla warfare while Perrin try to find solutions via peaceful means of negotiating and trading. Although i don't see why that could prevent them from working together...

As to weird friendship of Steel Meridian and Red Veil... Some people proposed that they represent sword and the shield. Meridian protects, veil attacks. But that still doesn't make much sense.
Especially after Defection became a thing, where Red Veil are ready to kill the defectors in order to find out what made them defected. You would think Steel Meridian would give them a slap across the ass for that.

So yeah, despite everything i agree that syndicate relationships must be reworked. New Loka + Red Veil and Steel Meridian + Perrin makes much more sense ideology wise.

That being said, im afraid DE are afraid to do it because that would throw a lot of player work away. I have Red Veil at 132k/132k right now and Perrin at absolute negative. If the change was to take place, i would slowly lose my Red Veil friendship and also would have to go through trouble of befriending Perrin Sequence.
Which i'm absolutely okay with considering everything, but i can imagine how some people would not be.

  17. To me leeching is just a sympthom of something worse - complete disenterest in playing the game.

I've been holding an opinion for a while now that 4 players are overkill in Warframe. I, MR26 player, often find myself in position on not being able to play the game because other 3 guys are doing just fine. So fine, in fact, that sometimes i dont even have time to aim. My gameplay now primarily consists of me opening lockers, because i'm one player too much for an absolute roflstomp that warframes bring on their enemies.

I do not justify leechers, but i see their point. Chances are - they are just not needed there and they have no interest or have no fun in just stumbling around watching other people play.
    So they just don't.
