  1. I can whip the kid in any FPS game, and I was the one that cleared *HIS* Vault of Glass Hard Mode in Destiny FOR HIM. The only thing he can beat me in is racing games. I'm no slouch when it comes to (most) games. What's happened is they took a 2017-2020 Warframe player who developed playstyle based on Warframes, then took it away abruptly simply because they're lazy and/or unimaginative. "Play Warframe the Way You Want Until We Force You To Play As We Say."
  2. I gave it a few more attempts after a few hours. I've since deleted the game from both my Nintendo and my PS4.
  3. It's substantially more than what "get better scrub" players bring to DE who complain about how things are "too easy". We keep their lights on.
  4. I'm an oldtimer too. Atari 2600 and Colecovision here. I'm stuck on TNW too and feeling bitter that I should finally just quit the game over this. I realized that it's TNW today, it's just going to be something else tomorrow. It's inevitable. Bugs that were around when I played Warframe in 2019 are still around today, so that should have clued me in. But, I got myself a new Nintendo and put Warframe on it.
  5. I've tried that, concentrating on shooting and moving. Hasn't worked. Might get it down to 50%. Restarted game (you can't even go to "orbit" in these battles). Tried another boss. Controls wouldn't even work in the fight, even after death. Got tired of it. New War is a gigantic roadblock that has to be done to unlock content, which is what makes this so frustrating. I can't believe DE can be this dimwitted, but then I look around and see all the halfwits in power in both government and business and that question gets answered instantly. And DE should worry about gamers like me because I probably put in $100USD in the game in the last month buying formas and the like (basebuilding).
  6. "Please note, all support requests are automatically redirected to /dev/null"
  7. "That is the solution, for this and all future threads that keep complaining about Boreal." No, what you are proposing is NOT a solution. One solution would be for Boreal to be gradually weakened after X number of tries, so that it doesn't become a roadblock for everyone but 'leet' gamers such as yourself. Then people would stop complaining. The next solution would be the ability to abort the mission.
  8. I didn't ask for your (dumb) opinion. I'm asking for a solution.
  9. I can't get past Boreal. Now, I don't even care. I *might* stick with the game if I can abort, but right now, I think I'm out. Edit: It actually got worse; I closed the game and restarted. I went to another boss (Nira) and guess what? After the cutscene entering the boss room, no weapon would work. No gun, no bow, no knife. Abilities worked, though. Maybe I can run around and give Nira lung cancer from all the smoke, maybe?
  10. They can't even be bother to do a tutorial for the Conservation missions, you think they'll do one for Eidolons?! And you HAVE to do this insanely broken crap to rank up standing on Deimos. I went over a couple YT videos and did what they did ... and it didn't work. As soon as I did the calling at all *FOUR* points, I got nothing. I didn't even know I needed the tranquilizer gun and lure until I left the game. That's really, really, really bad game design. It's like designers, like the state of the world (in general), is getting worse and worse and worse. At that point, I was at the proverbial "Eff this sh*t" moment. When you have to force people to go to Wikis or YouTube to explain your game mechanics, that's literally the definition of "calling it in." 1) Assemble random activities. 2) Give no descriptions of what to do. 3) Congratulate ourselves for being clever. 4) Move on to more content with more bugs. It's looking quite probable that I will not be dumping another penny into this game. This "conservation" tag issue has finally broken the game for me. The biggest problem with anything in the open worlds are the noobs that pop in trying to level. Or the constant drops/host migrations. And the worst part is that they FORCE you to do all this standing reputation crap and you can't skip it. "We made this. We know it's crap because we've been told that over and over over. But, godd*mn, you're gonna f**kin' do it 'cause we put good money into paying someone to make it!" /grumble
  11. Speaking as someone that worked in the industry, bugs don't get fixed because of egos of the dev teams. Assuming they remain long enough at a company, most times, they just dismiss bugs as the playerbase being whiners. So 99.9% just get filed under the "pending" column, closed when people stop complaining as they just move on to adding more content ... and more bugs. The weak point in any system are the humans in it.
  12. Had a similar issue when doing Cambrion Drift vaults. Couldn't change to any other weapon. I couldn't even trigger Exalted Blade, but could use other Excalibur abilities.
  13. Tell me about it. This game has connectivity problems galore, but don't expect the devs to fix it. One really has to seriously consider their time whenever anything requires any time at all, because the chances that the network is going to screw up runs 100%, making anything done before the glitch all for naught. You now have to think "things are going too good, so it's time to leave early." This game is really making Destiny 2 look stable. As good as your network connection might be (like mine) really doesn't matter, though. Any squad-based activity is only as stable as the least-stable player's connection. I wish I could say this is a Nintendo thing, but I stopped playing on the PS4 (and was on DSL back then, but now on fibre) a few years back because of this issue too. Guess I should have learned my lesson.
