  1. Some of the textures on older warframes and weapons are really outdated compared to most of the rest of the game. Some prime (pun intended) examples are Frost's backpack thingamabob and the entirety of Hate: https://ibb.co/MRmc1CV Another part of textures that is quit often of inconsistent resolution compared to most of the frame is any sort of lines. For example: the lines on Umbra's chest/scarf have always bothered me, and on the shoulderblades of Titania Prime the lines transition from decently sharp into pixely when following the line upwards, though this is somewhat less obvious. https://ibb.co/tKszppq https://ibb.co/yystYmS Small issues to some, but I notice them and once noticed they bother me more than I care to admit. I'm hoping that DE will revisit some of these textures at some point to bring them back into line with the general level of quality. Maybe the Stalker weapons can get a touch up what with the new update coming out :)
  2. It's always going to be difficult when you have frustrations with a game and don't have a clear way to communicate them to the people in charge. Fortunately we have these forums, but unfortunately we have no real way of knowing if our posts are seen. The best we can do is give feedback, be as clear and complete as possible, and then not get too invested in a specific outcome. As for your post itself, I hear your frustration :(
  3. Figured I'd turn this into a proper post instead of a comment on a post that didn't quite fit the issues I have. There's three issues that I have with the lighting update (after they brightened up the orbiter, which I appreciated). -- Issue #1 -- The Helminth wall was always a bit of a visual mess with how bright the glow of the Lotuses was, but now you can't tell what color the lotuses are, so that's a near pointless gimmick now. Before: https://ibb.co/1sPLhFn After: https://ibb.co/ZNNbcLP -- Issue #2 -- Fur/Hair looks different (leading to Kubrows looking very different) and it has an unnatural blue sheen that obscures the fur/hair color. Before (default colors): https://ibb.co/dGWbzbP After (default colors): https://ibb.co/3NQB5DG In bright lighting: https://ibb.co/Wg1LK29 In shadows (Also notice how greasy Limbo and the Kubrow look in shadows): https://ibb.co/1M5BgkP -- Issue #3 -- Like I noted for that last picture: greasiness, everything looks greasy, particularly when in shadows, it's an extension of the previous issue I think, where everything gets the same sort of light reflecting even when it doesn't work for that material type. On a personal note, this has been making me less and less interested in booting up Warframe. I react strongly to this sort of stuff and the greasiness of everything is making me physically uncomfortable. I know that's a me thing and not universal, but I still thought it was worth mentioning. I don't have good pictures for the before, but I'm adding some pictures that further highlight the issue. The floor here looks basically wet. https://ibb.co/tq4YHx1 My kid definitely needs a shower and his attire could do with a wash and a dry as well. https://ibb.co/yX67pCF The gloss just looks gross imo :( https://ibb.co/4JpSmhD Hopefully these issues can be fixed, if not, I remain in favor of just going back to the old lighting system but I doubt that that's ever going to happen (probably some sunk-cost-fallacy at play there, companies seem VERY averse to just undoing a change). Anyway, I'll leave it there before I frustrate myself :p Kind regards and good luck!
  4. I wanted to add some pictures here just to hammer the point home (My hope is that they'll revert it, but odds are that won't happen). In some areas the new lighting is legitimately impressive, in others it is absolutely awful. I'm not sure why it needed to change at all. Updated =/= necessarily better. Before: After (all I changed was the grey around his chest): Before: After (I have changed absolutely nothing about this gud boi) I'll note that the color completely changes based on where you stand or what kind of light is on the fur: Before: After (You can't really tell what colors they are): Before (I don't have a great picture to compare the operator so have a picture of my operator's back as a statue is turning into a mimic): After (my operator looks like he's been doused in grease): I think the Helminth wall can be 'fixed' by putting a white light on it so you can actually see the colors, but I'll add that the Helminth part of the ship and especially that wall can be very hard on the eyes (so I'm not sure more light is the way to go). When the update first came out I had to play in some sorter sessions because my eyes would start to hurt and I still just avoid the wall now. Anyway, good luck DE. Pls don't make my (and everyone else's) investments into fashion across frames, pets and operator a waste of time.
