Titania 1 & 2 Rework Ruggestion

Since Titania right now only really has one good and one okay ability I'd like to propose a change of her 1 and 2 to make her more useful and not just the little butterfly that kills everything in one shot and never uses anything other than 4.

I would  only change her 1 and 2 since 3 and 4 are fine in my opinion and I would also not change her stats and passive. (If anything, maybe increase her base energy at rank 30 by 20 or so)

 

Ok, so scrap Spellbind and Tribute completely.

Good, so her new 1 I would actually call Tribute now. Here's how it works:

Tribute - "Offer a tribute to the Grove, transforming an enemies shields and armor into a swarm of deadly Razorflies."

So this targets a single enemy and strips 100% of their armor and shields. Then it spawns 1 razorfly from it for every 10 points of base armor and/or shield of the target up to a maximum of 20 flies. These behave like the ones spawned from Razorwing (with the same stats and damage and all), attacking nearby enemies and disorienting them.

  • Cost: 50 Energy
  • Range: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 m
  • Max. Razorflies: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20

 

Her new 2 would be a cyclable aoe ability:

Fairyland - "A mystical zone that grants power to allies within and pacifies entering foes"

This one casts an aura arround Titania that turns all enemies within into allies and causes them to attack enemies outside the aura (pacifying should cap at 20 or so enemies). Enemies and allies are only under this effect while they're inside the radius of the ability. The Aura moves with Titania and has the shape of a sphere arround her (should have visible boundaries). The ability can be cast while in Razorwing-Mode. Enemies that die inside the aura spawn a razorfly.

Additionally, Fairyland can cycle between 3 effects for Titania and other Warframes inside the aura. This works the same as other cyle abilities, so taping 2 cycles through the effects and holding 2 casts the ability.

The effects are:

  1. Energize: restore 0,5 / 0,8 / 1, 2 / 1, 5 energy per second to yourself and allies (Does not apply to warframes with a constantly draining ability active) and grants immunity to magnetic status effect.
  2. Heal: restore 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 health per second and grant +50 base armor.
  3. Strengthen: Increase damage of weapons and abilities by 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 %.

 

  • Cost: 80 Energy
  • Range: 10m radius
  • Duration: 30s
  • Max. enemies pacified: 20

I think these change the nature of Titania too much - also Nyx shows that enemies vs enemies abilities kind of suck: they just don't do enough damage to each other, and even when they do it makes for a boring ability.

I think Titania's 1 is ok, it just needs to be easier to self cast - you have to point at your feet, but it should self whenever you don't have a target.

Her 2 should be either much cheaper or her energy more like other casters (150 base, rather than 100). The buffs need significant rework, I mean, one of them only applies to companions that you don't have in Razorwing - that's just useless.

20 Razorflies would be very powerful - 6 is already good for aggroing all the mobs. Instead they need to regenerate. They die very fast at higher levels, so maybe spawn another for each kill you get.

That 1 suggestion of yours reminded me of Oprah's gif screaming BEEES!!!

Anyway if one looks at Titania's design without the numbers tacked on, she looks fine. Someone said to me that she's the manual version of mesa, and that is sort of true. Her kit synergizes well, 1 can literally be modded as a pocket rhino stomp, 3 and 4 offer a good chink of survivability thru providing higher threat targets and innate evasion.

The problem is she's too reliant on her 4, opting most players to go negative range for efficiency and duration (with as much strength to tack on, her exalted weapon's already way powerful anyway). This removes incentive to press her other two buttons, with 1 only used for razorwing blitz.

This has been suggested before but if we're going with the "locust swarm" Titania approach...

1 is fine tbh, probably a bit faster cast time during razorwing

3 should give temporary razorflies, scaling to how many enemies were exploded upon... or an even more OP option, how much the lantern took damage. This one's capped of course. Make it something like Trin's WoL, don't want the target to fly too far away

4's razorfly attacks armor strip and kills by Titania give increased health (to a cap). If we're letting 2 stay as is, the razorflies will prioritize the tribute target and be able to pick Titania's buffs.

 

Her 2 just sucks

3 just needs to be tethered to the ground, stop the expensive CC from drifting away.

2 would be fine if it were cheaper (so she can cast it 4 times and still stay in Razorwing) and have buffs that matched her other abilities - maybe one that buffs diwata's crit chance to crazy levels and another that boosts her Razorflies.

I don't see many people commenting on Titania's passive. Her current passive is quite useless, it's like placing a bouncing pad of Vauban's every time she bullet jumps. In regard of DE's recent concept of player interaction, I would recommend changing her passive to this:

Everytime Titania gets a kill, she spawns X razorflies. The amount of razorflies is capped at Y.

(my opinion is making X = 2 and Y = 20)

This rewards the player to keep killing enemies to maintain her CC cause we all know how squishy Titania and her razorflies can be.
