Cephalycion Posted December 10, 2018 Share Posted December 10, 2018 Have a competitive league with ranks such as wood, plastic, trash, gold, diamond. Gauge the ranks based whatever you deem fit. Maybe the new endgame would become "try to surpass this other guy who is 1 spot in front of you in diamond" other than "waiting for DE to release new content which I will blaze through in two weeks". (PSN)OriginalEquinox Posted December 10, 2018 Share Posted December 10, 2018 Hard to put leaderboards in a PvE game though, endless modes like Sanctuary has them but nobody cares about it because it doesn't represent players skill or anything, just shows that they had good gear and mods and some time to waste. The top and bottom of the pile are thrown at each other at the same time. I've been in more than one room where a master of Conclave and a complete newb with only a Skana were in at the same time, along with a sprinkling of people at various other levels. It's ridiculous! There are 0 upsides to this kind of game design for this game. What would the qualifications even be for moving between ranks? Can't be PvP.
