ThisRandomFellow
Tried to put fleeting expertise on Oberon prime, but when i went to the abilites page for my oberin in the arsenal, there was zero change in the stats. I tried again, making sure that i wasnt reaching some sort of efficiency cap, but still no change.
Naftal
Were you viewing stats without mods or with mods?

Katinka
It should affect the initial cost of all his powers but if you are looking at the cost per second of Renewal then that'll depend on whether or not you have Duration mods. If you don't then reducing the cost by 60% while also reducing the duration by 60% will make no difference. NinjaZeku
2 hours ago, ThisRandomFellow said: there was zero change in the stats Were you only looking at Renewal's drain cost? Because, as @Katinka said, Duration is another factor besides Efficiency to determine drain costs. https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Ability_Duration#Energy_Drain_for_Toggled_Abilities Add more Efficiency and / or Duration, and you'll see a positive effect, but FE on its own cancels itself out, alas. Birdframe_Prime
Dammit, the NinjaZeku got here first ^^ Yeah, Drain is a counter-intuitive function sometimes. The short version is this: Drain is not calculated as 'per second', it's counted as 'per 1 unit of time' which happens to be a second at default. What's the difference? Importantly, you can extend '1 unit of time' with Duration mods, but you can't extend a second. So when you add, for example, 200% Duration, you actually make that '1 unit of time' into 2 seconds. Meaning you've got 50% Efficiency on your ability right there. 10 energy per second drops to 5 energy per second because it's spread out over 2 seconds. See? But it's also true the other way. If you add on Fleeting Expertise, you get 60% Efficiency, which drops your original 10 energy to 4 per second, but then it drops your 'unit of time' down to only 0.4 seconds in response, right? And if you're getting drained for 4 energy per 0.4 seconds, what does that cost over an actual second? 10 energy. See? If you put on just a Streamline and a Continuity, you get 7 energy base over 1.3 seconds, which ends up being only about 5.4 Energy per second in real stats. It's almost as good for you as putting on that whole 200% Duration ^^ Slap on a Primed Continuity instead, to get 7 energy over 1.55 seconds and you're at 4.5 per second, which means that with two mods you've cut your cost in more than half, and you can put on other stats easier there too. Give it a try!
