My thoughts on Destiny 2 and this free-to-play news.

So incase you do not keep up to date on Destiny 2, And if you do skip this little paragraph, Destiny 2 announce a free-to-play version coming soon, With undecided factors such as DLC up to forsaken being free (Heavily unlikely) And possible cross progression (Likely). And now you must be thinking "Partners may not like this AAA to Free To Play Switch". Here is the thing, They split from Activision.

After the split from Activision, They have complete creative control over the game along with the experience dev team and budget to profit from it. They have bigger budget, A larger dev team, A (debatably) bigger following, Now you uncultured swine who are MR5 are like "Welp. This is it. This game is gonna die" Well, Not exactly.

DE Has something that bungie does not. Ambition. Destiny 2 players, And i know you are hovering around these forums now, When was the last time you've seen Bungie have the guts to pull something like PoE, Which at the time was a massive switch in how the game is played, Or Railjack, Which the community already has an extremely bitter aftertaste from Archwings?

Bungie has almost every advantage at their side against Warframe, Hint at almost, Warframe has the few advantages that can keep Destiny 2 in the projects. They pay attention to the community, Have the guts to pull something everyone thinks is amazing, Hates it for a month or so, Then forget about it cause it's just another grind feast which the truely devoted to that huge chicken wing will succeed in devouring, Or even the devstreams where they talk about upcoming content?

Destiny 2 is a great game, It has handled endgame perfectly while warframe still struggles with it after years, Power Creep is not too big a problem in Destiny 2 While Warframe has more of it than the infested in numbers,

Overall, Both good, Both will share top 10 and switch between top game on occasion, And you are lying if you think Destiny 2 is not a good game.

Warframe and Destiny 1 & 2 have coexisted for years; don't see why they can't continue to do so. Besides, Destiny 2's business model is more like "free-to-try," with content beyond Forsaken being paid expansions.

Still play the base game that was given away a while back from time to time. It's alright; kinda like Borderlands meets Call of Duty without the personality. As with all AAA looter shooters, it hews very close to its core gameplay, while Warframe experiments and try different things. On the flip side, Destiny feels like a polished experience, while Warframe can sometimes feel more like a mad science experiment than a game. Pros and cons.

Anyway, I enjoyed it enough that I think I'm going to buy it on August 31st - the hard date I've set for Anthem to show signs of life before I throw it in the Pass Bin. As you can guess, it's looking more and more likely by the day. I'll still keep playing Warframe as well - I still have The New War, Empyrean and Ivara Prime to look forward to.

WHAT

Bungie and Activision had a 10-year publishing deal, but things turned sour between them. When Bungie got $100 million from NetEase for a new game, they used most of it to buy themselves out of the deal two years early. Apparently, Bungie employees popped the champagnes when it was announced internally. Activision probably weren't all that happy with how the game was making "decent money" instead of "all the money" as well, so it was probably a win-win for both of them.

As part of that split, Destiny 2 is ditching Battle.net for Steam.

Hmm, Maybe you should wait a bit to see how destiny 2 is doing after the next expansion. Shadowkeep Expansion, Free-To Play And all that is going live on september 14 From what i've heard, So only 14 days after your buy time.

I played base game a bit back with it's giveaway they did as well. Played entire campaign three times while Warframe cannot bring me to finish beyond the tutorial twice.

In my opinion you should wait for the base game to go free, Then buy the new expansion that is releasing, But you do what you wanna do.

reason why they ditch activation company is because they want dodge the law suit which everyone heard that the gaming company who join up with "That big group" which Bethesda, Blizzard, EA, Activation and ect.  They are using the loot boxes and claims it is not gambling which the U.S.A is considering other countries' opinion about loot boxes and pay to win are type of gambling to be the fact this shows this is $##t show that the company is going into that sue-ING loop hole which they are facing a massive law suit in near future, don't pray for them because they deserved it but give good applause for Bungie dodge the bullet for that part I mean it will draw players in for sure to get feel different games.

Fact why is easy, money lost-est will be cause by government had finally agreed that loot boxes is gambling and pay to win is going be delt with because its type of listed as "scandal, young age gambling, and no license of gambling" which Canada already consider video games is underline as gambling if you have mobile app of casino or something close to be slot machine which loot boxes are like scratch cards.  So Bungie wanted make sure they are not in that deep $##t of way that could end up paying a huge fine which the law of gambling without a license is heavy prices and also lie, cheat and scam is pretty much looking at billions of dollars of lost-est.

Might finally giving this game a shot, because I don’t want to buy a game (expansion in destiny’s case) that after a few days I stopped playing it due to lack of interest (I missed the F2P wave a few years ago because I am an idiot). Looking at the gameplays it’s basically Warframe but with more player skill required and probably not going to touch destiny raids for a bit until I made some friends who have experience in the raids.

But hey, at least I will get another looter shooter to play while Warframe is going through another content drought.
