It's not about AP/A-Ignore or not, suck is suck, Accurate, DPS, DPH, Ammo effect all suck---totally at the "rubbish zone"

Even vipers have dps adv.

Boar prime is strong but the critical mods for shotguns sucks hard thats why unlike the soma his stats are REALLY BAD but scales soo good with the rifle critical mods.

Accurate<----it make Boar super suck, more unaccurate than the hand cannon prime if it auto fire more than 3 shots

Seriously though, of course the Boar Prime is going to suck. Just like Latron Prime. Just like Braton Prime. If the core weapon isn't viable in the long run, you can bet a significant amount of money on that the Prime version won't be either.

True. I was actually very interested in getting the Braton prime, but as I'm moving into harder mission I've sort of gone off it. Plus I've learned that most primes I've researched are only better in little ways. Braton prime having a better base damage and bigger clip compared to the braton. Not really worth it. So yes, you're very correct.

But the Boar isn't only inferior to the Strun Wraith. I made that post in jest. Just about every other Shotgun beats it.

It's a slight upgrade of the original version.

 

It's still very competitive with other shotguns

like Sobek for instance: same trigger, faster reload but with less clip size, less damage but more fire rate and better scaling (crit+crit damage).

And Sobek is very close to the Hek dps wise, so...

 

Don't take the Strun Wraith into account when comparing, it's an aberration of balance anyway.

 

Otherwise, pretty solid shotgun, looks cool, and a good variety of possible builds.

A polarity slot would have been nice though

 

One of the few well balanced Primes, if not the only one.

But what you said makes some sense. The only prime weapon which can go all the way to late game is probably only the Paris and Orthos. Others are sadly, mostly ornamental.

 

On the subject, I don't think Boar Prime is that bad. Judging from the stats, I think it is comparable and probably be superior over the Sobek. Which is pretty much the best shotgun before Strun Wraith.

numbers are nothing, it sucks, Accurate isn't 5 as the number tells, just like the new stinger, iT never hit an enemies over 10M in full auto, so even it do 9999999DPS STILL a RUBBISH
