Railjack Building Process and Timegate

Swazdo-Lah fellow tennos!

Just for a headsup, my Railjack is completely built since the week they made it buildable and has MKIII gears on every part.

I have been seeing a lot of complains about the 12 hour time gates between parts for building the Railjack and even tho im far beyond that process, i must admit it is rather frustrating and meaningless to have, also the whole "Build Railjack" questline is pretty lame and uninteresting and must i say poorly and lazily planned...

Instead of the 12 Hour crafting period as TimeGate, DE should have made a few additional missions in between each part recovery.

As Cephalon Cy him self states when recovering parts, some components are damaged and can be replaced, so why didnt we get missions to invade Corpus and Grineer bases to recover salvaged components they may have stumbled upon and recovered so get our own Railjack parts running again? Maybe 2~5 additional missions in the old Raid style "Get in, Steal, Get Out", a short 5~10 wave defense waiting for the Pickup or Hijack to escort the parts to a safe area before extraction? Even the planets and mission types players could encounter for each individual part could be randomized much like the Invasion missions so each player had a unique experience.

It would have been much better giving players more insight of parts that make the Railjack work wile they are in these missions and enjoy some more random quotes from Cy than the lame 12 hour waiting period between parts, it would act in sort as a time gate but one that would depend on the player's dedication to get over instead of a fixed 12 hour.

What are the fellow Tenno's opinions on this? (Please keep it respectful, dont Bash the Devs).

They justified the long craft time by "you do railjack missions without having a railjack" but it's not really a valid reason.

I like your idea but for some people, more farm is worst that time gate and I can totally understand, so a mix of both could be nice. After each part, the 12h craft start but Cephalon Cy would let you know you can speed up the process by stealing some materials to Grineer and Corpus, so you have the choice between waiting or doing these mission. Each of them could reduce 3h of the total time, for a max of 4 mission per part (24 for all 6 parts).
This would still be a tedious process and encourage playing other stuff when you still have plenty of stuff to do, but allow you to get your Railjack in about 2-3h of intense farming if you really want your railjack.

While I don't particularly mind it this timegate seems a bit artificial when considering the long run. Call me stupid, but the way it was handled was more a "let's put these arbitrary time gates so they are busy until Part II comes out" (a spur of the moment, I'd say). Instead of deciding it based on players who will get to that part on the future, after all of Railjack has been released.

So, basically, it seems a good decision at the time of release. And those who were that know why it happened. But future players will reach Railjack construction and see a very arbitrary timegate and have no idea why it is there. "It is there to shush some impatient players of the time it was released". The same way players have to suddenly deal with a very costly dojo weapon research - Hema - and wonder why. "Because players at the time said drought", as well. And that's about it.

The timegates should be 1-2h imo. That's what would make sense to me for the quest in the long run.

Let's say all time gates were abolished and left everything up to the players' "dedication". The game would be dead. There would be no reason to put any work into the game because players would blitz through hours, days, weeks of work in a fraction of the time and whine there was nothing more to do.

The players are the reason the wall is there. The players will not be the ones to decide there shouldn't be a wall.
