Please stop slapping machine gun sounds on energy weapons

We got the dakkas and ratatas and brrrts on all the many regular old kinetic weapons already. Yet recently, far too many energy weapons get generic machine gun sounds slapped on. The latest offender is the primary Rattleguts, which sounds nothing at all like what I would have imagined, more like a Grineer assault rifle than a Corpus laser gun.

I mean, its not a crisp, clean Corpus weapon, it's a kitgun slapped together by Zuud. It doesn't look like it should sound like a corpus laser gun.

What part of Rattleguts looks like a laser gun, Corpus or otherwise?

I always thought it was supposed to be a (weaponized) nail gun / carpentry tool, what with that guard thing on the front.
