9 month old bug, FOR ME. Affinity boost one time missions

so as the title implies, for 9 months, if not a bit longer. I have been trying to deal with an issue that is simply not being fixed. I ALREADY tried 2 times at separate intervals to get it resolved through support. I had tried reinstalling the game twice already. I even switched from Xbox 1 to the new Xbox series x. Still it persists! now I'm very patient cause I know things like this takes a while. However, I'm simply sick of having to grind out my affinity normally while I see my friends boosting past the mastery levels, I'm sick of having to go all the way to round 14 on normal sanctuary, or round 10-12 on elite to just get a descent amount of affinity. For focus or mastery. Meanwhile, I'm stuck in support limbo/negligence to just get any sort of response to my issues. Just to clarify the bug a bit more. Affinity boosters, be it from daily login to buying, to being gifted, or even claimed from twitch or xbox game pass, would not work any longer than 1 mission. so say that I spend 30 mins in sanctuary, I would of only get 30 mins of affinity boost, then it would disappear, as if it got used. Also no, I long since checked that it was not just a visual bug. It would no longer show up that I have it. It would not level up my stuff as fast as it would in that 1 mission. The strangest part about this, is that the event/community affinity boost would work.

Also for the record, no. This is NOT THE ONLY BUG. I also face about 2 other constants while I'm dealing with the most egregious bug/issue. One of the other issue/bug I'm dealing with is not being able to invite other people to my group. now for this 1, it could simply be my router/connection but I am able to work around it and oddly enough, since the latest update it has been working (aside from communication friends list not showing up at all) to some extent, I am able to invite from the chat lobby which is a good thing because it used to be that in a rare blue moon, id be able to invite. Just to clarify the bug a bit more, if I was in a lobby or starting up a mission, in relay or dojo, id be able to invite ONLY THEN. not before, if I'm in my ship. I used to occasionally in a blue moon be able to do that. I've already made my peace with this bug as it is more likely a problem on my end.

The third bug I been coming across is not being able to use shatter burst on the railjack. The ability x really in railjack only, while piloting the railjack. The ability for whatever reason, will not work, this is a brand new bug, that came up since the new update. I used to be able to use the ability, but now, no longer can.

Now to sum this all up. For about 9 months (which is when I first submitted the help request, but in actuality it has been 1 year) affinity boosters have not worked what so ever for me. I do believe if I really wanted to, I could make a case on this. legally. I've also been graced with a bug that 90% of the time, wont let me invite other people to my group, which I believe is SOMEHOW being resolved somewhat. Now a new bug has came up in which I can't use an ability while piloting my railjack, which as far as I can search, hasn't come up anywhere else, when I tried searching if someone else has the same issue. 

If anyone wants to see proof of this, I can try to make a video and post it, on YouTube, or I can take pictures of these bugs. As I said in the start, I tried going to warframe support twice already

The reason I had provided these pictures just now is to show proof, except it been a while since I had even got an affinity booster, from the sortie no less. so I decided I may as well take pictures and provide it. 

As shown, I can not get an affinity booster, in fact, it got even worse, before I was able to "receive" an affinity booster, but now, I apparently can't "receive" an affinity booster. I expect that even if I did "receive." It  would of lasted for all of an grand 30 mins or however long the mission I played was and disappear entirely

I'll be honest, I do believe some sort of in game compensation would be warranted, somehow. (can be discussed, I'm not asking much at all) However, I'll be even more glad if the bug was fixed and I'm allowed to have the affinity boost for as long as anyone else would of got it for.

sure. the pictures are showing when I got the affinity boost. What day and when I was suppose to receive it. If anything else. I suppose it would be better to make a video instead at this point. I took all these pictures when I had just received as a reward the supposed affinity boost. however if you look at the top right corner of the tv. It will display what boosts was currently active and received. The sortie is renewed every day. so that means I was suppose to get an affinity boost on that day, but clearly as shown, I did not receive 1. 

Unfortunately, in the first post I made, I did say that the affinity boosts lasted for only 30 mins and then was gone entirely, visually and technically. Now it apparently had progressed or regressed in this case, to where I don't receive it at all. I don't believe at this stage I will be able to show that the affinity boost would be gone entirely after 1 mission, seeing as I'm unable to even get 1 to show my problem.

If you want me to clarify what each of the pic is suppose to show or has on screen I will go from 1-5

1: the computer screen on the right is to show todays date, the left is the mission result/rewards.

2: same as 1 for the computer. the left is to show it came from a sortie.

3: same as 1 and 2 for right. is to show the current boosters 

4: was suppose to show its my account, (I realized now it didn't show my gamer tag/username) along with the chat to show the time. as well as show the mission result/reward. (I'm hoping the system in warframe keeps an extensive chat log history of what and when people said this or that, it would further clarify the timing)

so with the 2 clips I just now posted, is more proof of my problem. I managed on my daily login to get affinity booster for a certain amount of hours. In the first clip I showed my profile and friends, along with the date today. along with the booster I have. Also the amount of time that went by was only 5 mins, further proved by the event credit booster showing the time difference between the 2.

In the second clip I showed the results and what happened to my booster.

That is what happens every time I get the affinity booster. It just straight up disappears after the mission. If you wish, I can try to get another affinity booster and show the same thing again, different mission or whatever, then go do another mission and show that I do NOT get more affinity. Even after it disappears.

Can't help with any of your other issues (and if support can't help, I doubt anyone on the forums could), but this one I can suggest to reset your keybindings/settings.

This has been an issue in the past. Anytime keybindings/settings don't work, try resetting to default. If that doesn't work, try change it to something else then change it back.

now whether these categories are correct or not falls SQUARELY into the gray area. considering the fact that there IS NO CATEGORY FOR MY ISSUES. i can only hope that my issue lies SOMEWHERE in these sections.

 

update account information is because this is an account problem, that needs to be updated. for how does an affinity boost not work for me, if its not account issue? its certainly not a hard ware issue or me needing to reinstall the game.

 

payment/purchase error is because, i had paid plat for a product. in other words i spent money, my friend spent money, on an commercial product that is CONTINUALLY FAILING TO BE PROVIDED as it was advertised. 

 

help with game performance is because, if im not receiving the correct amount of affinity as i should be receiving per mission, then how is that not a performance issue? how is me, not getting the correct amount of affinity boost hours not a performance issue with the game?

 

just as a side note, if any of the devs that even so much as bother checking out this forum post of mine. do me a favor, and put in warframe support, submit a request a "bug" section. or at least suggest it to your superiors.

Thank you for contacting us! We checked your account and can ensure you that all your boosters are working as intended. There is or was no issue with either your account or any kind of booster that would cause a malfunction or affect them in any negative way.

Please note that different things can cause the appearance of a "malfunctioning" booster. Experience amounts cannot be properly compared between players since these differ depending on different factors (e.g. killed enemies, worn gear). Similar factors affect credits and resource pick-ups as well. Although these can cause the appearance of a malfunctioning booster, we can reassure you that there is nothing wrong with your boosters or your account.

Now as for the Forum post you have shared and upon further investigation, we can confirm that you did in fact received a 3 Day Affinity Booster back in 2021-MAY-02 at 00:43 UTC. Please note that at the time of receiving this booster from the Sortie, a Community Affinity Boost was active as you have already mentioned. The reason the booster you acquired did not show up is due to this event booster. Instead of adding another line of affinity booster in your UI, the affinity you got was multiplied on top of the event booster and is running in parallel with the duration of the event affinity boost. This means that instead of x2 affinity, the account is getting x4 affinity. However, it seems after the 2nd of May, your next login occurred on the 7th of May which means the 3 Day Affinity booster you acquired from the sortie already expired.

In regards to the second instance on your Forum post, between 2021-MAY-07 until 2021-MAY-09, there is no record of acquiring any Affinity Booster hence the duration shown on the clips was most likely a UI bug. On 2021-MAY-10 at 03:04 UTC, the account did get a 13 Hour Affinity Booster which ran its duration normally.

For the other bug issues included in your post, we recommend sending a separate ticket under the correct category (technical or networking) so that it can be addressed properly.

im essentially being told, this is an ui bug and because i chose to not play the duration, we are going to assume that everything ran its course properly. well to that end. i decided to log in today. today happens to have baro kiteer around. went in, i got myself the affinity booster he was selling. i sold off, equinox prime systems blueprint and inaros prime neurotopics and chasis. to get enough ducats to buy it once. which is 450 ducats. before i even did that, before i even bought it, i decided to run a capture mission on earth no killing what so ever, with a warframe needing to be leveled up. i did that then recorded the result page and how much affinity i got. which is 291 normal affinity and 364 bonus. then i decided to buy the affinity booster from baro, which i then proceeded to record as well. not only did it not show up in the top right saying i got it. i still none the less, decided to play the same exact mission the same exact style. no killing. want to guess the affinity i got? 291 normal affinity and 364 bonus affinity. THE SAME EXACT AMOUNT EVEN AFTER I BOUGHT IT!! so to say this is a visual bug or a ui bug is really insulting! once again i have proof of all this. i can send in clips of it.

im going to be showing a rather, length back and forth with a dev called janno. he/she also cc to DE Will. meaning Will is prob janno boss/superior. was probably also telling/advising janno what to write/type out to me. i tried asking for a reasonable compensation, considering the bug prevented me from getting 2x the affinity. however, id love to hear everybody else definition of what "indefinite" could possibly mean. especially in the context im about to supply. also, if you have any advise to give me on how to communicate, by all means, post ahead. im sure that warframe devs or moderators or whoever, surely wouldnt consider disabling or shutting down this post right?

  Thank you for your patience on this matter! We had our specialists look into your account further and according to their findings, the expiration date of the Affinity Booster of your previous boosters caused it to have an indefinite account. Essentially, the account had an active booster running indefinitely for some time. This would also explain the missing affinity timer in your UI since it cannot show the expiration of the booster once it refreshes after a mission run.

  This matter on the account has now been addressed and we have reset your most recent Affinity Booster purchase. As of this reply, your new (3) Day Affinity Booster has been re-established and we also added another (3) days on top of this.

  im very glad that this matter is resolved. however i do have a few items id want to verify.

  If I'm understand to this correctly. due to an affinity booster being unable to expire at the correct time, it caused any new booster to expire after one mission? With that being said.

  the booster i purchased a year ago, went to became bugged to prevent any new booster applying. Due to prior ticket and submitted evidence when acquiring the booster. upon further review you discovered the true cause of the error and all the boosters acquired in the past year has been nulled and void in a single mission. i know that your company track purchases with all accounts would you be able to track my purchase history for 12 months including the time gifted to me by my friends to "correct" the now known bug. I'm only asking for the time that i purchased and gifted to me by my friends, i know that is more than 6 days. thank you for your patience and for finally resolving the bug.

  Apologies if the previous reply caused any misunderstanding but to clarify, the purchased/gifted boosters did still apply to the account extending the "indefinite" duration where the booster should have stopped working (due to expiration) but was left activated despite the UI not showing any active booster. This is why we are only able to give back the most recent booster purchase on the account to re-establish the proper duration.

  so then id like clarification on the "indefinite."

  if the boosters lasted "indefinite" meaning that i should of received 2x the affinity/experience. if the item was working "indefinite" mode. then that would mean i should of received 2x affinity and experience the entire time correct? then that would mean that 10 rounds in sanctuary onslaught if not less, should of completed any weapon or warframes and that i shouldn't of repeated the sanctuary onslaught twice correct? now on to the example i gave earlier in this ticket, where i did a mission, capture, no kills on the planet earth, non iron path or anything that would of affected affinity gained. i received 655 affinity.
  under your definition of "indefinite," that would mean that i should of received 1,310. that would be x2 the affinity. im not wrong in the definition correct? so then lets move on to the next issue in your reply to me, that id like some clarification.

  ill be honest, i know that the UI not showing anything but your claim that, its running none the less. is rather...a very poor excuse that is trying to be thrown at me. for if that was the case. i would not be here putting in a ticket. a simple ui/visual bug would not of warranted me personally to have gone or done this much. in fact, under your "indefinite" definition that I'm assuming is correct. i should of received 2x the affinity the whole time i was playing regardless of the booster running out or not. if this is the claim your trying to put forward, then id like to hear why it took me twice the amount of time, missions, and effort than it did for my friends? my friends were running affinity boosters and yet it took them less time, less effort and less missions than it did for me to hit mastery rank 30 for my weapons or warframes. even if the UI was not showing the booster correctly, it was however showing EVERYTHING ELSE correctly, including the affinity gained in weapons and warframes. that means that no, "indefinite" is not the definition that trying to be defined by either you or probably what your boss is trying to say. then there go, i did not receive affinity boost for x amount of days. there go i purchased a faulty item. there go, i believe fraud? would be the correct perspective.

  lastly, if your trying to say, NO YOU WONT RECEIVE ANY THING MORE THAN THIS. then just say its "UI malfunction" that my ticket was trying to address. event though the heading of the ticket is saying affinity booster not working. then again, thats probably why you chose to combine the tickets and categorize this as "item purchase error" even though its probably closer to "help with game performance."

if anyone has some facts on the numbers on what a capture mission on earth, no kill or anything, just straight objective, in and out. then by all means, post your finding on how much affinity you would get, with and without the affinity booster.

cause at this point, i believe the argument is delusionaly trying to be said that, i received 2x affinity the entire time and that me having to forma weapons and such which can only be done when it shows the weapons and warframes at mastery rank 30. was a "UI malfunction" or bug or whatever else phrasing that be liked to use. which is just a fancy way of saying visual glitch. that i should of been able to forma them when they were at rank 20 or whatever rank.

regardless, i believe the point of affinity boost last only one mission is being COMPLETELY MISSED!!

okay. the ticket i submitted has been resolved. though i do have to say. im very unsatisfied with the results. i can easily copy, paste what was typed out between me and the dev. however, it seems like there was a hint of "security and privacy purposes" that is included in it. nothing serious is mentioned in the ticket, just another explanation. so with that said, ill say the results is me getting a measly week of affinity boost as compensation of the year plus of no affinity boosts working for me. a year plus of failure and neglect to get my ticket correct, when i first submitted correct the first time. 

the term indefinite, was poor word usage on their part. to better put, it was suppose to be an end date. of which, it would last decades. a near permanent suspension to players who received the sanction. which would of ended in 2035. 

so in other words, i somehow wound up on some type of invisible **** list for no apparent reason than say buying an infinity booster at possibly a very wrong time. i somehow managed to find a bug in their original coding that allowed this to happen. (im assuming in their original coding)
