Gotva prime is disappointing

The free gun that everyone gets isn't hitting as hard as the game's top tier weapons.  That's fine, that's expected.

It has a gimmick where you get to see red sometimes.  Neat!

I'm not "impressed", but I didn't expect to be.  The newer players who got this thing (complete with 3 amazing polarities and a potato, I might add) should be pretty happy, and I'm happy for them. :)

In the right hands, that weapon is a beast. I saw someone using it with Wisp and her buffs. Good lord.

"Disappointing"... sure if you slap mediocre mods on it, otherwise this is a pretty solid weapon if you mod it correctly. In most cases, a blank weapon build without any other synergy is mediocre at best. For example a Wisp with Nourish and Mote ability turns Gotva into a carving weapon, shredding enemies like cannon fodder .

Maybe we were just crazy, but a couple alliance members and I tried a few things to see if there is a trigger for the red crits. Punch through hitting multiple targets, consecutive kills, headshot kills. It doesn't feel like it's just a random chance. We didn't find anything useful however.

Puncture status procs add a stacking 25% crit chance. Its not "random" - its just people dont know what puncture does anymore.

Dude, it's an intended mechanic, it happens even when the enemy has no proc on them
